I would o for Duress first under most circumstances to reduce the chance of wasting it.

Almost quoted that but realized it would not be that great. Anyway no, I have not quotes you in my sig. I have sort of noticed more of you around though.
1. Get a sheet of plywood, 36"x40".
2. Get a sheet of acrylic/vinyl, same size. Vinyl floor covering from Home Depot works fine, but you'll need two pieces because the roll is only 24" wide.
3. Sandwich a soft DDR pad between the plywood and the acrylic/vinyl. Make sure it's centered on the board.
4. Attach the plastic to the plywood with screws. DO NOT PUT SCREWS THROUGH THE PAD (derf derf).
5. If you used two sheets of vinyl floor covering, use duct tape to smoothen the part where they overlap. Otherwise you can trip on it or cut your feet.
6. Play!
I've been using the same DDR soft pad for about 3 months now, and I play pretty heavily.
