    Quote from Tanarin
There were 12 votes within the last 20 hours of day 1
We were threatened with a tie four times within the last 2 Hours of deadline

The latter really raised my interest as two of the ties were threatened by votes from the same person.

Saying that, I would be perfectly fine with a Dancing Mad lynch

If I was trying to force a no-lynch, then I wouldn't have unvoted at the end. I wanted iRebel or you lynched over Karn. I didn't have any problem tying it up because I knew I could just check before deadline and unvote if need be. My final vote on iRebel at the end was pretty much a bluff that I saw no reason not to at least try.

    Quote from Tanarin
@Mod: Any chance we can just get a replacement on DM, he has been prodded 4 times already. It's getting kinda tiring TBH.

It's been discussed. Any more inactivity issues (another prod or a late response to this prod) will probably result in DM's replacement.

I doubt I'm going to be able to quite maintain that for the rest of the game (unless making an empty post that says "I don't have time now" counts), so rather than stall out and still end up getting replaced I'm just going to go ahead and formally request replacement now.

I know I have a bad track record for this, but apologies to everyone.

Calvin Barlowe. The gist my flavor revolves around my father who was a priest that was killed by vandals, and how I think the Verenburgs are hypocrites that pretend to follow God's will, but really just use it as justification for whatever they want to do.

...actual content coming soon; my brain is not processing anything now. I still think it's there's a pretty good chance that one of iRebel or Tanarin is scum (I have slight scum reads on both of them and right now that's the best I've got -- but I doubt they both are scum, because of that one comment Tanarin made), and I need to take a look again at Cythare. I don't remember anything he's done this game really.

Whatever. I think you guys are all wrong but if it's between a no-lynch then fine.

As for Sedai using his ability, the problem is I don't trust him to be honest with it, and it's not worth essentially no-lynching.

I'll unvote if I absolutely have to, but I still feel iRebel is the better lynch.

I still have no idea what the paranoia is with Karn. And yeah, even a full hitman you don't necessarily want to lynch. My role in Checks and Balances had a scum in my hitlist; I was actually pro-town.

    Screw it.

    Vote iRebel

Lynching Karn still doesn't make sense.

    Ahhh, this is confusing.

Tanain's response to me gives me some pause, and it doesn't look like he'd get enough votes anyway. I'd still rather lynch iRebel than Karn. Thinking.

It's also worth noting that from that first point I made, I'm pretty sure that if Tanarin is scum, iRebel isn't.

    Quote from Tanarin
I think the biggest problem we have had today is the fact that we know who all the neutrals are, and that has been distracting the rest of the town from scum hunting (I know it has been distracting me quite a bit.)
This is the main part that bothers me (and the second part of the post). It's supposing a problem when a town Tanarin should be uncertain. His stance on iRebel thus far has been, paraphrased, "I don't see a case on him." For a townie in that position, the normal response is to hope that iRebel is scum. You may not see a case on iRebel, but you don't have a town read on him either, so why are you already assuming there's a problem? This is a very passive analysis of the sort that comes very easily as scum. In my limited experience as scum in Goo mafia, I remember saying something quite similar to this (something along the lines that we were stalled out because the neutral claims killed the random stage) when two players claimed neutral.

    Quote from Tanarin
Well I am not really on board with an iRebel lynch as well, as it just seems like he is being rung up for moving and being so far behind in the game. Last I checked, that isn't too much of a reason to lynch someone, and I have not seen any better reason to actually lynch him.
What about what I said? It wasn't a big PBPA, but I think it was a fairly decent point. Also, again, look at the passive language here. "Last I checked," "Not really on board"

    Facepalm

So if we're going to lynch me toDay (and I'll reiterate how awful an ideal this is. I mean, did none of you bother to check the self-meta I did on myself? At least I'll get to reference this post in future games. #meta #reference), then I'll leave you with these points to ponder once you see I'm town since there's a rather good chance I won't be able to later tonight (and if by some miracle yall realise Karn is the better lynch, all of the below is still applicable except points 3 and 4).

    1. Tanarin is town.
    2. Arian is town.
    3. Under no circumstances whatsofreakingever should you trust Karn over Gifts. In fact, you really should just lynch Karn toDay instead of finding this out the hard way, but on the rather likely chance you won't lynch him, go to point 4.
    4. See point 3.
    5. Listen to Asenion.
    6. Don't listen to Azrael. I thought he was town earlier, but I'm beginning to have misgivings.
    7. Lynch AE.

This post here is actually moderately townish.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing there, but Tanarin's last post bothers me enough that I'd rather be lynching him if possible.

    Unvote, Vote Tanarin

I'll check back a half hour before deadline and switch my vote back if it doesn't look like this is happening.

    Vote iRebel

I reread, though I've been sick and I'm having trouble focusing. Right now, my top two picks for scum are Tanarin and iRebel, though I'm not feeling like either is a particular slam dunk. If it's between Karn and iRebel though, I'd rather go with iRebel.

Re Karn: I don't get why anyone thinks he's the SK; I've found his behavior to been in line with what he claimed. Him having others on his list is more likely than him being an SK, but I haven't seen any reason to believe that beyond paranoia. And even if he does have others on his list, Sedai should keep him in check. And Karn has to know that if we end up with a suspicious extra dead body in the morning, then he's going to come under some major suspicion.

My main beef with iRebel is in post #50:

    Quote from iRebel
    Quote from Sir Karn
    unvote.
    Vote: Azrael

This is an awful, awful, awful, vote. Explain yourself.

    Quote from Deaths_Vampire
    Quote from Sir Karn
    unvote.
    Vote: Azrael

That better be a joke vote.

    This.

    Unvote; vote: Sir Karn

This is some very superficial thinking here. To recap, Az suggested a massclaim and Karn naked voted him in response. What Karn did here is one of those things that looks scummy, but really isn't after thinking about it for a few seconds. Which can often catch a scum looking for angles.

iRebel's response here doesn't read like someone trying to figure Karn out; the "explain yourself" feels empty considering how much he's already condemned Karn here. I'd expect a town iRebel to just say "explain" or possibly something more along the lines of what DV did (which was more to just say that the vote was dumb, rather than scummy).

The fact that it comes after DV's comment makes it more worrying as well.

    ---
Most of the rest of his stuff I can't get much either way, though his #327 strikes me as weirdly passive in a way that bothers me but I can't explain too well.

Crap. I forgot about the deadline.

I'm pretty sure I agree with Azrael's list of lynch candidates. I definitely don't want to lynch Karn or Sedai.

I'll get my **** together in a bit and figure out who I do want to be lynched.

    Quote from ExpiredRascals

    @Dancing Mad (302):
-Early mass claims always benefit the mafia in well-designed set-ups. As I see it, I only win if the town realizes that I'm working alongside them. Pushing for something that might benefit me but would more likely burn any trust the town has in me and thus undermine my win-con is something I don't see as logical.

Mm. I can buy that enough to not really want to lynch you anymore.

    Unvote

At this point, D_V needs to explain how he knows ER is lying.

    Quote from Asenion

    Vote Azreal

    Azrael is probably town.

Azrael is the type that vastly prefers to be town over scum, and is far more interested in the game when he's town. His whole case on ER in particular reads like his town self; it reads like someone who is having fun.

I dunno. I guess it's mainly gut. But my gut on Az is usually right. Plus I've been agreeing with him, which is a good sign.

Posting to avoid a prod. I've been way too busy, but my situation should improve somewhat after thursday.
