If your grandpa ate those store-brand nuts, then they're the culprit. Most of those nuts are baked in oil. Dry ones are actually very healthy, it's just they're tasteless.
I was making an inside joke to some of my closer friends that frequent these boards. While from an extremely convoluted point of view cashews *did* kill my grandpa (they were the final straw that ended with him having 6 inches of his colon removed, a cascade chain of body failures and 4 years later, off he went) it was the slew of other things that killed him overall, among them:
emphysema
full kidney failure leading to dialysis 3x per week
lung cancer
a heart attack (full recovery)
a mild stroke (full recovery)
and of course the 6 inches of his colon that had to be removed.
guy was 84 when he died. his best friend of 70 years told him he'd "die with his boots off, kicking and screaming till the end." a week later he went on dialysis, TOOK OFF HIS SHOES, and died in his sleep. we're convinced he did it on purpose to spite his friend.
Of the things that I understand (water, grapefruit, and tuna), that sounds healthful and tasty enough!
I suppose it's probably not that high a risk, but would a can of tuna per day be too much? And, what's up with all those tunas that are ethic or non-ethical, or healthful or not-so-healthful? Would it simply be better to buy raw tuna, then cook it?
By the way, could someone please explain what these 'macros' that guys talk about are? I feel left out.
as a health nut, i've always found that salmon tastes better than tuna usually does (if only by virtue of usually being more fresh), is cheaper, and has an extremely similar nutritional value. For taste and fish, though... I loves me some yellowtail.
But asking for a nutritional guide with no exercise regiment to *match* that guide is like asking for paintballs to put in your cannon.
for instance, my diet is extremely healthy. but if someone who lived an average or lower-activity diet, they'd probably become morbidly obese within a year. (Currently *LOSING* weight at 3200 calories per day, need to stabilize at around 3700 calories to gain some weight. that comes later in the process. navy training sucks btw)
if i were to take someone elses healthy diet (such as vegan or some strict vegetarian) my body wouldn't be able to deal with the physical demands placed upon it on a regular basis, and i'd eventually suffer from either malnutrition or my body would eventually fail in some areas.
Not to say my diet is more or less healthy than another well-founded diet. mine is just suited for MY body, and MY lifestyle.
And that's really what you need to keep in mind. A diet that works for someone else may actually not work for you if you aren't active enough/are too active for it.
for whatever it's worth, I'm currently 5'6 and 135 lbs, 8% body fat.
down from 165 at my absolute heaviest. (Which admittedly was on a testosterone cycle)
Low-fat diets = overrated. Fat is necessary to your body.
^this is very true, but has to be taken in context of a relatively complicated thing.
Cutting fat from a diet isn't nearly as important as cutting calories overall, and yes fat IS essential to a healthy diet, but there are a lot of fats that are just terrible for your body overall. Good fats come from things like olive oil, poultry, fish, and certain nuts. but **** nuts, cashews killed my grandpa.
so to say that low-fat diets are overrated is largely true, as long as you aren't shoveling french fries down your throat immediately after making that statement.
with fighting gloves you throw them in the freezer to kill bacteria and then put them in the dryer quickly to remove any lingering odor.
somehow i doubt the dryer would be as forgiving on magic cards, but possibly freezing them. however i would experiment with a few basic lands first, see if it has any negative effects. foils may very well behave differently to being frozen as well.
Ronda Rousey is 5'6" and 135 lbs and I'm pretty sure she could completely destroy the vast majority of even quite tough 200 lb men in a fight..
I actually had the pleasure of meeting and grappling with her once. She beat me in about 20 seconds, and aside from that she is absolutely gorgeous in person. It was embarrassing but awesome at the same time. It was made less embarrassing by the fact that she proceeded to beat everybody else on the floor eventually too, though.
On topic at hand...
I can't help myself, I have to bite. OP, is this seriously a concern of yours?
For the first page I was convinced you were trolling, and was actually extremely impressed; if it had been a troll, it was a masterpiece. look at all of these jimmies you have rustled so thoroughly.
but reading on, i find myself drawn to the uncomfortable conclusion that you actually feel that way, and i just can't help but feel inclined to let you know how utterly petty that entire post was. no offense, i recognize that you feel passionate about something and are willing to deal with people that were almost guaranteed to go against you, and i respect that.

but just as revan once said, "Who I am is not important; my message is." And your message is self-contradictory in a lot of ways.
If someone transgendered finds themselves to be under serious psychological duress from a medium such as games that cater to the average person rathther than a biological extreme, i'd say they had much bigger issues to work through than coming to a comfortable acceptance of their own sexuality. I have a friend, a close friend even, who is transgendered, actually. bisexual, m2f. he is also an avid gamer. never once have i ever heard him complain about the fact that most games (even if we're only factoring games with romance options in the first place!) aren't marked to his specific demographic.
He plays the games, immerses himself in the story even though he can't strongly connect to the protagonist and enjoys the game for what it is; a very unique and largely enjoyable form of entertainment.
Games aren't supposed to reflect real life with any TRUE fidelity. Trying to say that video games are causing negative stereotypes to be stringently reinforced because the characters usually share a very alpha, romanticized silhouette is absolutely asinine.
If the roles were reversed, and all the games out there were largely transgendered based romance or with a non-binary gendered protagonist i wouldn't have any problem playing those games as long as i enjoyed the game itself.
If there was a great game where the only romance option was homosexual, i'd still play the game and most likely enjoy it.
I would hardly say that the qualities possessed by most video game main characters are largely negative. if there was a common theme, i'd say that it followed the following traits:
Bravery
Cunning
Physical fitness
Determination
Integrity
Composure under fire
You can goahead and call those traits over-masculine or whatever you'd like, but any sort of negative spin you put on them probably won't make me change my opinion that those traits are universally GOOD TO HAVE over any alternatives.
Even if kids were discouraged for falling short of these examples, it may motivate them to try to better themselves. and i'll be honest, if those same people are really *that* emotionally distraught over this entire thing, they have *much* bigger psychological problems to deal with.

Whenever I try to put myself in Martin's shoes I feel fear and then anger. The scenario triggers memories from various childhood events and I feel fearful, helpless and really angry for feeling fearful and angry. For this reason I can easily imagine Martin deciding to take a stand and not running away from this guy who was following him.
This interpretation seems to be supported by the testimony of Rachel, the girl Martin was on the phone with and who would not have a reason to lie in favour of Zimmerman.
Do you understand the problem of what you're doing here?
you weren't him, you aren't him, you didn't know him or anything about him...
what POSSIBLY makes you think you can put yourself in his shoes with anything even remotely resembling accuracy???
This has nothing to do with the matter that the people of oakland were rioting over, but rather the fact that they had something TO riot over.
It's oakland, what did anybody expect?
Rum is actually my favorite alcohol, and what generally goes good with it is actually get this, passionfruit concentrate. the stuff i get to mix is usually like 60% water, 20% grape juice and 20% concentrate passionfruit, but it tastes amazing.
edit- may i ask exactly what you need that much alcohal for?
As much as I enjoy reading and loosely studying chemistry, if I had to pick my FAVORITE thing to do, it would be surfing... but i suck at surfing.
If I had to pick what i was BEST at, it would be martial arts.
magic is not something i was destined to be good at, unfortunately.
I think this verdict is a crock of ****, and a travesty of justice. It institutionalizes a world where people of color have to be constantly obsequious to non-colored people, even when it's scary men approaching them in the middle of the night with a gun.
Most irrationally inflammatory statement of the week goes to...!
Zimmerman committed a crime, possibly several. murder 2 was not one of them, and the state prosecutor should never have bowed to public pressure like she did and held out for a less serious but infinitely more likely to stick charge... you know, like one that actually was applicable for the evidence given?

i seem to have been slightly mistaken. apparently obama didn't call for the charges, but rather supported them.
