so i have been playing creatureless oloro stax for a while now

some advice i have for you

your board wipes should be in the form of tucks, exiles, and situational

merciless eviction, hallowed burial, austere command, evacuation are the best

also, sphere of safety is outstanding.... it isnt too cute at all esp when u are destroying lands via armageddon, catastrophe, mana vortex

land equilibrium is nasty when u have a token producer like bitterblossom, luminarch ascension and/or planeswalkers and you blow up the lands... u dont play a land they cant play any either = you win

    thran dynamo needs to go

porphyryr nodes needs to go also bc u stated tht u produce tokens to keep it around all game... meaning ur card is destroying your own stuff NOT GOOD

edit*** the other tuck options you have are spin into myth, unexpectedly absent, hallowed burial, spell crumple

second... you are not running cyclonic rift... a MUST

third... drop lightmine field and gideon.... both worthless in edh

fourth... no elspeth 1.0?!?!? ADD it

also take out the transguild promenade

so I was playing a four player game online today.... i jumped out fast with Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer. Board state is pretty open due to my landing Karn Liberated very early to control the board plus opponents Leyline of the Void. Long story short... guy blows up my Karn, next turn i drop Karn Silver Golem. An opponent has a Mycosynth Lattice out and another opponent plays Wrath of God which i respond to with 14 mana via Mana Vault, Clock of Omens, Thran Dynamo, and Gaunlet of Might..... make all their lands creatures with Karn.... WIN!

so just got done playing a game and the opponent had a ranger of eos, dragonmaster outcast, dragon token, mother of runes and some other creature on board along with a propaganda, norn's annex and phyrexian arena after his wrath of god turn before

so on my upkeep my defense of heart triggers i put out kiki and terastodon destroying his three enchants giving him 3 more token creatures.... meanwhile i played a vampiric tutor in upkeep top decking a massacre wurm which i proceed to drop and duplicate w kiki to hit him for major life

it doesn't really matter how deadly the round (rifle/handgun) when someone is shot up to 11 times. A bullet is a bullet is a bullet, no matter how you look at it.

Gun control is not the answer! Education and Prevention!! The most important steps in life period, No matter the circumstance!!!

And not to mention the most fundamental aspect of gun control. The reason the amendment is there in the first place is so that we the american people may rise up against the government if so needed to preserve the very essence of why this country was established. Democracy!!

Hey, to be honest I don't know the political details in the US, but if you talk about democracy, why don't you do a popular vote? Still... all power emanates from the people.

Of course, directly after such a catastrophe it would be a biased thing...

When was the last time you had faith in the integrity of the american voting system on a national level? LOL

Electoral college doesn't have to follow popular vote.... sham!!!

Florida recount? Obama care? Lets be real here

Terrible Tragedy!! Thoughts and prayers for the families, friends, and the community. However, gun control is not the answer. The view is very narrow in scope. Look at the big picture. First, Gun control is aimed to do away with assault rifles, extended mags and the like. Could the shooter in Conn or anywhere else not killed the same with handguns and homemade explosives with no preventative measures in place?

Prevention and education seems like a better answer than outlawing these guns. We the people need to wake up and realize that we cannot always rely on law enforcement to protect our lives. We just don't have the means to have them everywhere.

I do believe that a limited number of teachers/staff should be able to carry a gun as long as it is always on their person and chamber is empty. They must be certified to do so and must go through further educational courses, paid for by the school, to enhance tactical awareness for these types of situations. The best defense is a good offense!

If this gun control act passes where will these go? Turned into the federal government to be destroyed....Please! Does anyone remember a guy named Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban? Where did they get their surplus of weapons? The US won't throw away millions of dollars. The same thing happened to the Soviet Union when it collapsed. The surplus of weapons were shipped to America to be liquidated. $$$$$ We WILL eventually need these (WMD) when our shores are invaded.

And not to mention the most fundamental aspect of gun control. The reason the amendment is there in the first place is so that we the american people may rise up against the government if so needed to preserve the very essence of why this country was established. Democracy!!

have been following your cube for a while now.... just saw the changes for dark ascension

just was wondering why you have gravecrawler in there??? how has it done for you???? seems a little limited to me being that you need a zombie to recast....

is it just black has so little aggro that the casting from grave is just a bonus??

    thanks

snapcaster is in no way overpriced.... yes it doesn't win u the game but a second tinker will, or a 2nd ancestral recall, and jtms which happens to be blue as well bounces him to do real serious things......

these two previously discussed cards are WOTC ways of trying to help vintage i think

@purklefluff - please refrain from posting any longer your argument does nothing but aggravate other readers of the topic.... liliana is up in price because of states, the fact that an indestructible creature means nothing to her, and her ultimate is game over, not to mention the gy theme of ISD and her +1 ability and believe it or not people play games to win, would you go to a gun fight with a knife, no you would buy a gun wouldn't you and last yes Wydogg thought 90 for the playset was a good deal.... going at 60/ea selling now would be a profit of 150 on a investment of 90 i'm no math wizard but that return on investment seems pretty GOOD no?

on topic..... liliana is overpriced right now due to states but she is a very solid planeswalker i would say 40 would be a steady price unless its proven that t2 is the only format she is viable which i highly doubt will happen

so i was looking over your list and am wondering if money is the issue as to why you do not have certain cards.......

if money is not the driving force behind lack of cards here is a list

tutor: demonic tutor, vampiric tutor, cruel tutor, gamble,
draw: night's whisper, ancient craving, altar's reap
discard: thoughtseize, duress, cnt remember the name of the card but you can play it from you grave to make opponent discard a card by discarding a land as well as paying mana cost of one swamp
    creature: shriekmaw

also if your running blood moon maybe run magus of the moon too

this deck is great!!! i had a huge amount of fun playing this.... i played a guy cant remember what his general was but i decked him!! most unusual way to win edh with this deck i thought...

i dropped blood moon first turn and he popped out font of mythos and howling mine with a few more draw spells in the coming turns..... i managed to play a wheel of fortune, with a wheel of fate coming online same turn so i just forked and reverberated the wheel LOL good times!
