I like their spread of incentives, and wish I had the funding to go higher up the ladder, but look forward to the game and some swag once they get around to them.
Agreed - between the t shirts, dog-tags, soundtracks, books, Doc-Wagon cards....a lot of cool swag.
I'm excited to see what the dev team can come up with. Given that they're releasing it with the full editing tools, the community can really generate a tonne of content above and beyond what they release initially also.
Last 40 hours for Shadowrun Returns - next stretch goal is $1.75 million (currently at $1.63 mill). We get Physical Adepts at the next goal!
Game has a lot of potential (being made by the creator of the Shadowrun IP), and will revitalise a great IP. Definitely check it out if you haven't already!
Grim Dawn - Action RPG ('Diablo-style') being made by the original designer of Titan Quest. This guy has struck out on his own and purchased the Titan Quest engine from Iron Lore. Games looks amazing, already a lot achieved here.
Ah, another thing - I really think there is no better place for a singleton Helm of Obedience. With maindeck leylines of the void and enlightened tutor, it really adds a nice "whoops, I won" factor, for the cost of only 1 slot in the deck.
Question for you ajfirecracker: What's the deal with singleton Leyline of Singularity? I often find that I'll be dropping duplicate Leylines - granted you'd have to get pretty unlucky to rip a hand including multiple identical Leylines + the one Singularity, but it could be pretty devastating. I could get on board possibly if it was a tutorable silver bullet we could hardcast, but we're not in blue mana...
Good to see someone messing with the deck, it feels like it's on the cusp of exploding into a decent archetype! I hit a bit of a roadblock myself, mainly due to trying secondary win-cons that diluted the primary theme a little too much.
Doesn't this deck rolls over to Wasteland or any land destruction? Without Serra's Sanctum, there's basically no manabase left.
If you've gotten to use Serra's Sanctum even only a single time with a few Leylines out, chances are you're in a decent position anyway. Lists running Suppression Field and/or Crop Rotation are fairly resilient to Wasteland regardless...
Im trying to build a similar deck, but im using arboria in it. Maybe you want to look in to that card, it's a absolute hoser with the new blue/white leylines
The thing with Arboria is, that Moat is almost always just better (from a defensive POV, but not with Opalescence as a win-con) - and it doesn't require the new blue leyline to be solid. I realise Arboria is really nice for the one-sided Moat+ effect when the Leyline is out, but probably unnecessary in this kind of deck.
At the moment I'm trying out a singleton Parallax Wave in the maindeck, as tutorable one-sided infinite creature removal (if Opalescence is on the battlefield) - very classy...
Have also been considering Elspeth as maybe a 3-of. Pretty solid alternate win-con, with some decent potential synergy to Leyline of the Meek/Leyline of Vitality. Obviously, the downside is that she isn't an enchantment - but it seems like she's good enough on her individual merits regardless.
Well, looks like the new sword in scars is gonna be a semi flop.
+2/+2 = good
2/2 wolf token = good
pro green = really good
mill for 10 = ;_;
Yeah personally the mill for 10 thing kills it. Pretty much any deck we would WANT to bring this card in against is running something that would benefit from the mill, and unless we slam the sword on an avenger, things could get hairy. Maybe I am wrong here (I usually am,) but I am not quite feeling the card for our purposes.
Yes, disappointing for sure - would've loved to see something like a variation on Circu, Dimir Lobotomist's ability for the 'Mind' ability on that sword. It's mythic also, which is a low blow.
Should hopefully solve the problem of topdecking an off-colour Leyline that you can't cast (ie. Leyline of Lightning) halfway through the game. Can't wait to rework this deck, very exciting...!
EDIT: So far the red, blue and black (Leyline of the Void reprint) have been spoiled that I can see....fingers crossed for some nice new White/Green leylines, chaps!
You burn your Opponent's life before you deck yourself. Unfortunately Curiosity got errated to where you have to deal combat damage with it in order to draw.
Actually, Curiosity still works - just damage, not combat damage. Ophidian Eye is Curiosity with Flash, which can definitely be nice to surprise combo out...but you do pay a premium in the form of 2 colourless mana extra.

Or possibly EXTEND the theme to encompass Springjack Pasture!

This errata was overturned in late-ish 2009. Referenced here under the first subtitle.

Useful against Enchantress, Mighty Quinn, storm combo to an extent....I find it can be semi-useful in a good many general matchups.
