Anyone have thoughts on Liege of Tangle? Besides wrath, it wins games once it swings. And even against wrath, just animate one or two lands. Facing down 3 8/8s is no joke. Then again it costs 8 to play. Just throwing that out there.

Otherwise, I would much rather run 2x ulamog, 1x kozi, 1x emrakul. Maybe 1 emrakul in the sb.

Seems a little light on creatures with only Gideon and Sun Titan able to lay down the beats as I don't really consider Elspeth's tokens much help. I really think the deck needs 2 Baneslayers in the MD.

What's up with Arbiter in the SB? Prevention of Fauna Shaman and Naya shenanigans? I'd rather run Linvala if it were me even though she costs two more she's a 4/4 flyer and her prevention is definite rather than them being able to pay 2 to sidestep it. She also serves double purpose shutting down leveling dorks. Arbiter does have the upper hand in blocking Trinket Mage though I just think he's a bit weak especially with proliferate and -1/-1 counters now.

Arbiter also helps against ramp. Valakut and turboland are pretty big decks now so it's good sb tech against them. ABout the baneslayers, i would add it if theres space. But with so much control, colonnades itself will win. So baneslayers aren't necessary imo. Don't get me wrong they will help tremendously and i would add them in if you can find something to take out for them.

Wat do you guys think about true conviction? High cost, but it does some crazy stuff

do you think artifact hate in the sb will be needed?

Been trying out the ratchet bomb, comes in handy a lot, mostly against tokens. Seomtimes i just wish i could take a charge counter off it though. Still not sure how i feel about them. I'm either running them or clasps

@sudbury nope, proliferate gives the permanent another counter thats the same type it has. So planeswalkers have loyalty counters. So if you proliferate, it will get one more loyalty counter. But if you have a creature with a -1/-1 counter, it will give it another -1/-1 counter.

Also, the only reason why i only use the engine to proliferate is because the others don't seem so worth while. Steady progress is alright, but i would much rather play something else for three mana. Thrummingbird is not helpful since it comes early, but early is not when i need it and when i do need it, it would alrdy be used to block or something like that. Maybe the next sets will bring more proliferate. But for now, i like the engine, maybe even the clasp, still figuring it out.

I'm also testing a somewhat similar build. I don't run the steady progress though. I proliferate solely from the Contagion Engine though. I also run the mindslayer + prototype portal suite since the engine helps proliferate my chalices. It's also decently easy to achieve with all the card drawing and 10 mana is pretty easy with u/w control. I mainly run this because its another win con for me and they both can do fine without each other. mindslayer culd jsut take control of one turn for me and thats all i need. portal culd get engine to come in every turn. I also run 1 emrakul, just because i could play it.

    coralhelm commander?

Maybe you should be running counters or something as well to help urself out a bit. Someone landing a baneslayer is pretty bad for u.

yea, well you can't recur condemn or path anyways so its not that bad of a drawback. Also, if you plan to use prototype portal, you can get as many as u want. 5 mana a turn to exile wtvr you want.

    no paths post rotation >.<

otherwise, i was also trying to build something like this. I run sun titans over the baneslayers though. recurring omens, jace 1.0, and even tec edges is pretty useful. Possibly preordain instead of ponder. I also use the contagion engine. A bit mana heavy, but proliferate 2 times on a chalice or planeswalker is insane.
Only thing about grand architect is that you need other blue dudes and you mite not even have the room for them.

wat about brittle effigy? it's more mana intensive, but when it comes down to titans, you don't want them swinging at you to trigger their effect first. Brittle effigy will also deal with eldrazi titans that would otherwise annihilate us.

And thoughts on using the contagion engine/clasp? They can deal with aggro, somewhat, and is another target for venser to blink. Also, i plan to run everflowing chalice so proliferate will almost always have a target. Did some testing with this and chalice gets to insane amounts which leads to my fun win con. Mindslayer + Prototype portal.

Personally, i wouldn't run elspeth 2.0 just because theres better stuff to put. Rather up the count of doj and use venser, gideon, jace 1.0, jace 2.0 as my planeswalkers.

    u mean transcendent master?

And yea, i agree. I also run sun titans over the transcendent master. Partially because i don't have transcedent masters, but also because i think a 6/6 that brings back my 2 big threats (ajani and serra) is worth the 6cmc. Also, is the behemoth sledge rlly necessary? or wuld 2 swords be ok. I likes words because of all the other things it gives. And in terms of pridemate, it stil gets trample so it cant be chumped. With sledge, u culd gain insane amounts of life with a pridemate, but at that point, i dont think its necessary. late game, i would love to pop out a baneslayer, equip the swords and swing with haste.

With the speedgain version, or any version at all, how do you guys deal with valakut ramp? They ramp fast and valakut kills you faster than you can gain life. I played someone who even used hellkite charger as well as the bear umbra for infinite attacks. Any suggestions?

This is my current list that I am running. I would run 4 baneslayers, but I only have 2 at the moment. Any suggestions on what I should be using as a replacement? Also still figuring out my sideboard, any suggestions or comments would be nice.

kid, you think you'll try tec edges in your speedgain? Its pretty useful against a lot of match ups, especially control. And since your running the titan mainboard, you could add in fethces so that emeria goes off even with the tec edges. Also, how has the swords been working out? you throw htem out late game? or they come down t3, equip t4 and swing?
