Kaalia would have been better in MH1, it'd be so fun with all those Changelings running around. Golos has me very intrigued, a legendary artifact creature with a proper name that doesn't seem to be a mindless automaton or construct? I can't recall anything like that except Karn himself.
One thing I would like, that this site is lacking, is a general discussion forum where we can talk about non-mtg related things (probably with a no politics and no religion rule in place), and possibly a general media subforum as well. Would be nice to talk about geeky/nerdy things with people from the forum that aren't mtg-related. Making it a more active community between spoiler seasons.
First Sliver's Chosen is, I think, the first time we've gotten a sliver with a name more complex than "[adjective] Sliver" or "[noun] Sliver".
(Or "Sliver [noun]" for the legendaries.)
Recruit the Worthy is so close to being WSprout Swarm, but convoke makes all the difference. And I'm sad that my Rhys can't run double Sprout Swarms.
Hideaway on a creature is very nice, but it really highlights the "enters tapped" that is baked into hideaway's reminder text. Should've just had the lands enter tapped back in Lorwyn so we wouldn't have to stumble over it now.
I think I read somewhere that it was a space issue. They couldn't fit the mana ability, the hideaway reminder text, the conditional cast ability, and the "enters tapped" ability all on the card, so they made the "enters tapped" text part of the hideaway reminder text to save themselves a line break. Still unfortunate, though.
All of them look interesting and playable. Smiting Helix is going to become a staple in Mardu commander decks.
I don't know about becoming a staple. Four mana is a big ask, considering how many things three damage doesn't kill. You're in the three colors best at killing creatures, so Smiting Helix will see some extremely stiff competition to make it into decks, even considering the fact that you can use it twice.
God damn it, when are they going to hire competent Spanish translators? Pellejo? Really? Pellejo is normally used to refer to discarded animal hide, it sounds disgusting, but I'm not surprised, the Spanish translators are usually terrible...Anyway, if Coldhide Golem fits the crunch, that's probably the correct name.
Plot twist: the English name is Colddiscardedanimalhide Golem.

Iceberg Cancrix is just wintertime Hedron Crab.
Hmm... I run a Gravedigger in my Varina EDH. But do I want to run two?
Now every tribe has a Ghoulcaller's Chant/March of the Drowned!
Is that seriously a bad pun and reference to Turg? I thought he was the character that time forgot.
Interesting that there's only two hybrid cards.
I would not have expected a card named Fountain of Ichor to be an Ixalan-flavored card.
