Hey, you seven guys who are quitting. Can I have your cards?
I honestly perfectly OK with most of the changes. I think it will take players a while to adjust to some things that no longer work, or don't work as well, though. The combat damage step is obviously the biggest change here, and I hope that doesn't impact the game too negatively (and I doubt it will, it's not like these are untested changes). Overall, OK changes by me.
Something about this card and the new thrust of m10 is making me feel nostalgic, back in the days when the stack was much simpler (wait...it wasn't a stack), and simple creatures that made us smile when we crack them out of the pack
I think they're actually balanced. It's a dual, with an interesting set back. You aren't allowed to really use it turn 1, and it forces you to play with other basic lands
I think I found what he's talking about. They're REALLY TINY and you're right, not noticeable at card size. Even if they were, they're shoved off into the corner and not part of the art's focus AT ALL.
lands must be untapped, so no floating mana! there's a reason if we're saying this is a bombo card after all...
Reading is tech! The OP of the Rumor thread mentioned something about the card being "a little less worse" which many have been speculating means the lands don't have to be tapped.
So Im super late to the party here, but I really like the idea of that first art being Cataclysm, theres the creature (the dude standing there), the land (the tiny patch left), the enchantment (the shimmering white shield thing), and... maybe the cloak is an artifact? With the rest of the world all destroyed.
As for the second art, I dunno, doesnt really give the effect of Sphere of Reason to me. I say thats the new card, that has something to do with stopping time or something, it looks too much like water to me. So if it is water then those foot prints would have to be done during a time stop kinda deal. But with the "spell" going off after the footprints Im not sure.
You're trying WAY too hard to make these cards something they're not. Sphere of Reason HAS a ton of water in it. What card are you looking at??
You're also deciding what to put in their hand with Head Games on turn 5. Followed by a turn 6 Identity Crisis. No one said it had to be on the same turn!
So if I go I get 50 free cards? Sweeeeeet.
Don't forget you can never go back, though.
Amen.

You people kill me with your "guesses." That looks nothing remotely like a specter. Keep dreaming I suppose.

You, too. That's wishful thinking is all that is.
