The creature O-Ring is cool. That one-drop-gain-8-life is okay.
But I ran a white Sigil of the Empty Throne deck mostly for S&G at FNM. I'm losing quite a few cards (I used all the Auras that stop creatures), so I'm wondering what I should do to keep this archetype alive in Standard. I have:
I think I had some Howling Mines in the deck, which I think will stay. I don't want Luminarch; I think you have to build a deck around that card. Should I splash green for Trace of Abundance and maybe that Sunlight cascader?
Day of Judgment and PtE are always options, too, I guess, but I'd prefer enchantments because, well, you get the idea.
Question: That new blue enchantment that makes a land an Island--better or worse that Aquitect's Will? I always have LoAs out, but no one I play against has Islands. I feel I need to try something out once these idiots get their Goblin swarm or other random large creatures out. I can stall early and throw some damage, but I cannot finish.
I also have the same issue we've recently been discussing--once I get the Adepts out and maybe have a Standstill or two, I still feel like I burn through my counters and the rest of my hand too quickly.
Would either Aquitect's Will or that new enchantment help me that much? I figure the new one, while more costly, would help any land denial strategies, and I can use it without a 'Folk. AW just costs less; I may have no creatures out, and the land is still whatever type it was before the spell.
Any thoughts on this? Should I try Tidal Warrior/Reef Shaman? No card-drawing and more easily removed doesn't appeal to me so much....
I cannot do this without continually proving that I actually DO have more insight into the game than the majority of people sounding off around here, though.
You know you are arguing about a card game on a forum over the Internet, right? No one cares.
Anyway, I am pretty disappointed about that text, but this card lets me down quite a bit.
You guys really think it would be worth your time? It's just such a terrible top-deck that I think I HAVE to rule it out altogether. If it had a Leyline's ability, then I would consider it (and Burn would then be broken)...otherwise I'm not too high on it.
You didn't really say anything about it....none of us want that card around when we all know there exists a clearly better version that everyone wants to see back. Does ANYONE run Cancel in Constructed? At all?

Pacifism
Mesa Enchantress
[new creature O-Ring]

Pooling Venom is black.
Work for what?
Look at the Zendikar Spoiler.
I was thinking...is the Trickster that good in Legacy? Besides Fetches and Matron, what are some other big-name cards that promote enemy shuffling?
There's a new guy--check him out.
That leaves three remaining instances of "Merfolk," right? The one-drops aren't bad, which means the remaining guys might be crap.

Gotcha. Definitely did not look at the sideboard.
I still wouldn't include it in this deck. Then again, who called flying fish?
Wait, what? Cryptic?
@Clairval: That's not how Landfall works....you can just sack it.

Dang mono-black decks. I thought Doom Blade lost its edge just a bit with the Boa.
