Great game. Sorry to everyone that I went a-wol like I did.

I hope that Audinho certainty plays again! If you host another game I will definitely be in it provided that I up my game.

I wonder what those consequences those can be... Rolleyes

Maybe I'll be back one day. For now there is no time though.

Votes off Audinho people, the prayer count is crap and you just pushed him to L-1.

Addendum: This is a very very townie post.

Well Audinho if you aren't scum, who do you think is and why?

KoolKoal or iPot. Leaning KoolKoal for the pretty fishy attempt to try and speedlynch me at the start of this day. iPot for his play in general this game, but that could be excused as newb play. I have a fairly strong townread on Wheat, he's been looking solid all game. You yourself vigged scum so you are cleared (barring elaborate gambit, but if you were scum you could have just held your shot, so Occam says town).

    More reading required though.

Part of the reason I like you as scum is that you have ignored the case against you for so long.

Basically, the case is very meta.

You aren't playing like you do as town. You are playing over conservatively. You didn't scum hunt until late in day 1, and then it was only to join a wagon. Day 2, again, you did nothing but throw on your suspicion once the wagon was already well under way. Small other posts that we talked about along the way, but every time you were brought up as scum, you ignored it. Something I've never seen you do as town.

I haven't had a lot of time for mafia, so I've been really detached from this (and other) game(s). For a while I blamed beeing in three games, now I'm down to one and hopefully that will work.

I always play conservatively vote-wise, but I guess I might have been even more conservative now that I've grown very tired of getting stick every time I do anything (finally I can say this: Read Magical Girls.). Sadly this has led to me doing basically nothing, and I'm sorry. I have ignored the case made on me because I haven't understood why it's a case. A case which has bad arguments is easy to refute. A case with good arguments is harder. A case basically without arguments is impossible to refute.

I... have no idea what to do. I'm sorry, but there is just no time for mafia after I got back to work. You're a great bunch of people and I love you, but I'm just not able to follow this game. Me hanging in here not contributing is bad for the game, and I'm sorry that I have not done this earlier when I realized my time was beeing cut short.

Mod: I'm sorry, but I have to replace out Frown

Also: Didn't get the ability, but it seemed useful.

I'm at a loss. Could someone please present a case against me, so that I may defend?

I feel I've been called scum repeatedly for playing conservatively and wanting the game to be played in full, interactions to play out and prayers to be given time to be placed. That's terrible.

Also, since votes have been changed, he won't be at L-1 and I'll probably be away from the game a bit again (no more than a day though):

    vote Id_Ego

Fair enough. Despite knowing that Audinho performed no targeted actions yesterday, I am actually more comfortable lynching him because of his most recent post.

He states Id_Ego is scum for proposing massclaim, then fails to vote him. Why?

I still agree that Id_Ego is a strong second choice, since the massclaim doesn't help town figure out who the last scum is, but calling someone else out as scum and then playing it safe and not voting is Thumbs Down to me.

    [b]Vote Audinho[/c]

Errrr. So reasons for voting me are yet again that I do not want to put a player to L-1? I have no qualms with voting Id if we are agreed that discussion has been made.

Just popping in to try to read up and avoid beeing prodded. My schedule has exploded so I'm having large issues finding time for mafia, really sorry about that.
    Some stuff:

    * KKs case on Cythare: We should be careful with modgaming, but Sharks slip seems to give away that there is a scum investigative role. He couldn't have know about Iso since Iso was unrevealed and flipped town, ergo he was thinking about another one (Cythare?).

    * Id comes in and proposes massclaim? Scum.

    * jd is obvious town for killing Void. There's no reason to speculate about that.

@audino: It's just one of those things... either you believe there is daytalk (like me and cythare) or you don't. In this game, all abilities are granted based on prayers, so the only logical explenation for daytalk is the Eyes. Though another possible explenttion is that the scum just inherintly have it, but that kind of defeats the purpose of them having night talk.

I don't see why scum would need an eye to get daytalk. It's really not much of a gamedefining ability imo. They either have it or they don't, and I don't see how it needs to be tied to the games special mechanics.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about setups and balancing so this is just my opinion.

@Audinho: I'm really having trouble seeing any power in your lachesis ability. Isn't the power of masons that they can confirm each other and make plans for trapping the scum? You don't confirm anything by talking to them, plus they're just about to be leaving the game so you can't plan with them. What are they going to say that they couldn't in the game thread?

I don't know, I figured it was always good to get a chat with confirmed town. But:

    Quote from Cythare

This logic I can get behind. If we assume Audinho is scum, he could use his Lachesis ability to have one last chat with Void (since it was pretty clear to me that Void would be the next lynch candidate at the end of yesterday). It serves little purpose as town, since the lynch candidate could simply choose not to talk with Aud.

That actually makes more sense. That would make the ability more useful to scum, ergo... That is my scum-thingy. /facepalm

Which would mean my Aisa-ability can be a non-scummy one.

    Unpray, Pray Aisa

As for the Storyteller-pray-thingy: Bah, nothing to gain there. Thanks for doing the legwork Cythare.

I would've had more, but I just understood why minecraft is so unbelievably entertaining. I somehow never tried it until today and... let's just say it's five hours since I installed it, and now I really need to get to bed if I'm to be alive at work tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrows:

@Mod: I'll be V/LA friday-sunday as I'll be at the inlaws chasing sheep.

Can we do something today. We have a lot of "confirmed" lurking. Or at the very least not posting much.

As far as I'm concerned we're just waiting for Cyuoni to get back with a result on someone.

Ok. So why are you trying to get that ability rather than find out what your Aisa ability is?

I want to try it, thought it looked pretty powerful. I've never been any kind of mason and I have the impression that people that are masons always know lots of stuff, so maybe twilight in magical masonry-land would grant me more information to grasp, well, anything. I'm was thinking that since our roles are uncorrelated to alignment everyone has to have a scum-ability. The two I know are useless for scum (or at least not logically useful) so I'm guessing the Aisa-ability is my scum-aligned one. I don't believe in PF's scumgod theory since Wheat claims to know nothing to prove anything of the sort, and there was nothing openly in the game at that time that would provide reasons for even stipulating it. Hence I think PF was gambiting to scare scum. I'll go back and reread around where he claimed it to see if someone felt fire underneath theire soles.

    Quote from Id_Ego
I've been operating under the assumption that the first eye grants day talk (and maybe even mroe than that) ever since SF got lynched. I said "Guess we were wrong" because it had been discussed earlier that there was no way a daytalk would be possible. I was using the perverbial "we," meaning the town. I actually had no part in that converstion.
I have never said daytalk was not possible, and have always thought it could be, especially after that eye dropped.

You've probably answered this, but why do you think it grants daytalk?

I must admit I'm not able to piece together anything of this eye-stuff. I keep forgetting what god goes to which stuff and so on.

I also believe that speculating on what the third eye does is never going to be more than just speculation, and I don't think us trying to guess it will be worth anything for catching scum. What's certain is that there is one eye left, which means (barring anything unlikely that I don't think would happen in a basic) there's one scum left, and he's probably having some sort of advantage over town because of it.

There is something about the Shark-eye that caught my attention (can't remember if this has been said). Scum knew what prayers were granted earlier in the night. This would if I'm not mistaken mean that scum would be able to perform NKs with a high probability of hitting someone who got theire ability since they'd know if they got them themselves. There should be something to be gained from looking at the prayercount D1, but I don't have the time to go back and check it. Noting that for later as well.

Just checking in before work, a couple of quick answers:

    @Cythare: Doesn't target by night.

    @KoolKoal: It's private, like in a quicktopic.
