Hi, I got this time a couple of "grey border" rares from my boosters, i got 3 in total, desolation twin, ally encampment and shrine of the forgotten gods
i don't know what is the cause, it seems they could not achieve true black in this sheet. Its weird. Most noticeable in the upper borders.
Greetings
Hi Ronny. I had a bunch of Return to Ravnica cards that look like this. I think that it's basically a "low ink in the printer" issue. It doesn't add appreciable value to them, unfortunately.
I put them in my misprint binder, but I should probably just take them out because whenever I flip through it I keep asking myself "Why are these in here?" before seeing the border.
Hey, thanks for your answer
Yeah, I also think they are not the weirdest misprints, though it reminded me the difference you see in the border between American- and European-printed (recent) magic cards under black light. The American-printed magic cards under black light get a greyish border whereas the European ones remain black. Funny things.

That's interesting. We've seen something like that before in Tempest, with the "Charlie Brown" medallions. I would say that you probably can move these for a premium, if the pattern is clear enough. Likely someone didn't clean the plates thoroughly between printings - that pattern looks like a playing card back.
Hi, Thanks for your answer, here is an non-modified scan, there is also some blue dots printed on this particular card. The pattern is more or less faint. I only realized when i saw the mirror mockery, then i came back to the other rares and saw the pattern. Seems to be a rare-sheet issue, at least in my case. I have another unopened box that i bought together with the first, no idea if its the same lot.
Huh. That makes it really hard to see - I can't make the pattern out at all in the new scan. I think I'd have to actually get my hands on some to tell.
yeah, I think at this point it depends on the screen you have and how tilted it is. It is much more noticeable in person though

Hi,
In my box of Dragons of Tarkir, several of the rares came with a faint pattern that seems to be due to unclean printer.
I leave a picture as example, contrast adjusted to reveal the pattern
also is this at all interesting? Box is made in Belgium
Regards,
For me is weird that they took blue color scheme for the grixis one, and black color scheme for the package of the esper deck. Seems to me it should have been the other way around
Looks like in US everyone s trying to make profit, the LGSs from the hoarders and the hoarders from the future. And the ppl that actually wants to play with the cards gets screwed.
here in Germany i got mine for 17.95 € yesterday in my doorstep. it was waiting for me when i came back home.
I bought it from the games-island guy that everyone accuses of overpromoting his store, at least they are selling MSRP and delievering on time.
