Wow, the black ascension looks insane, especially considering the fact that it is quite easy to make your opponent lose 2 life from turns 2 to 4 if you plop it down on turn 1. Definitely playable in Standard.
The green ascension is pretty awesome too, since attacking with 7 or more creatures in a green deck is basically what its supposed to do in the first place. But a drawback is this enchantment gets easily countered by mass kill, easily rendered useless.
Mann this card is called sadistic for a reason. It has the potential to be good early game by removing combo pieces or wincons, while being a total monster late game. Too bad the kicker cost is quite high, and its normal casting cost makes it pretty hard to use on the first few turns other than for mono black decks.
Well... the duals aren't really that good so far, but might work with Realm Razer sort of?
The artifact is okayish, but don't really like the drawback since you don't have a choice to sacrifice it instead of one of your creatures. And having 5 mana as the casting cost doesn't save your creatures from a 4th turn Day of Judgment, so it isn't really that playable in Standard unless you're playing tokens or some **** like that.
Spell Pierce is okayish, but really, in Zendikar I don't really see any non-creature spells in the first few turns that would be worth countering.
The blue enchantment is fine, even better when you are flooded midway in the game, allowing you to draw more action while leaving more mana up for instants.
2 mana O-Ring is pretty interesting, especially with all the good one-drops that are coming around in Zendikar, lets white get its early removal without heavily relying on PtE or dwelving into black or red.
Wow, that's actually pretty cool. Love the art on the foil Lightning Bolts, textless Sign In Blood is so gooood. Also, they REALLY are trying hard to get players to play Cancel huh? Reprinted like 3 times and now a textless version, I'll be sure to main deck 4 of them now!
You sure you read the card? It won't break standard in half by itself, but it certainly doesn't suck at all. If allies make it into a deck, this will be played.
Its has a pretty high casting cost, requires other allies to be effective, which almost all needs 4 or more mana to be played. Easily removed by the typical removal in standard, not to mention Day of Judgment coming with Zendikar. I don't see how allies would survive such a removal intensive metagame without being able to early beatdown(at least with the currently previewed cards, who knows, there might be a couple of good allies that they are saving for last). It definitely sucks 'now', but not saying that it wouldn't be playable even if all the allies are revealed.
Wow, this card seems pretty sweet. A 4/4 body with a good effect for only 5 mana, and it has an awesome name too. Probably playable in Standrad, in control decks and whatnot.
Archmage Ascension looks fine, six quest counters is quite easy to obtain if you run Jace or Howling Mine and other draw spells. But of course, there are better turn 3 plays than this card, unless you are in a position such that investing your third turn in a 'useless' card would not have any major drawbacks.
Ob Nixilis looks pretty awesome, but it still can't compete against baneslayer in the current Standard enviroment, at least i THINK.
Blood Tribute huh, I guess that's what MaRo was talking about for the 2 card kill combo, its pretty decent by itself even without the kicker cost paid.
Nissa's pretty good IMO, able to repeatedly protect herself with her first +1 ability. Her second ability also isn't too shabby if played in an elf deck. And her 3rd one is pretty cool, could probably kill in the same turn if something like Madrush Cyclops was on the field. Sadly she only fits in a dedicated elves deck, quite inflexible.
Elemental Appeal is pretty meh, pay one more R to deal 1 more dmg compared to ball lightning? With the kicker cost paid it could be potentially fatal late game, but its just too suspectible to volcanic fallout, doubt it would see much play in Standard.
The tiger is okayish, but the fact that it dies to volcanic fallout so easily with a relevant drawback early game doesn't really seem to cut it for me.
Probably unplayable in Standard, but yes, it would be interesting to draft allies in Limited. But if everyone caught on that allies are pretty good in Limited, I think there would only be diluted amounts of allies in drafted decks, making them less effective?

The ally pretty much sucks, as with all other allies currently previewed.
Felidar Sovereign is cool, but not really sure if would make it into Standard decks while Baneslayer Angel is around.
Really interested in what the Zendikar duals do, hopefully there is an additional effect that isn't a drawback, or they would suck completely.
