Go back to casual kitchen table magic? The hobby is thriving and around the same price range as things like paintball or RC cars. You don't need a lot of money for a competitive deck. People are lazy don't want to brew or metagame so they naturally just look for top placing netdecks without evaluating them for their meta.
This is what I have been testing, in my opinion purphourous doesn't really do anything without young pyromancer especially when you cant reliably reach his devotion. I still haven't tested out chandras phoenix enough so maybe that would make him a bit better. Oddly enough I feel like this deck wants an X burn spell but I dont think we can support white right now without sacrificing consistency. Counters are amazing in new standard though midrange decks tapping out left right and center.
Seriously? With Geralf's Messenger zombies and such, Black is like the only lone color (other than red) to see standard ready decks. Green has been strong, but ONLY as a base for multicolor. Mono blue or white.... Now those definitely don't have anything going.
Have you not read Thassa or Master of waves? Blue is being pushed and I expect cloudfin raptor to start seeing some play.
What about taking this deck into more of an aggressive direction and including fencing ace? I mean sure he doesnt have hex proof but combined with rancor or spectral flight/ ajani hes practically a glistener elf.
So what do you guys think about the new keyrune cycle, I think the rakdos or possibly selesnya signet would be a VERY good win condition for this deck and could replace phyrexian totem
I kind of like her in edh in a heavy ramp /self mill plan. Mirror mad phantasm into her swining with some sort of unblockable effect with like 10 auras attached seems good to me.

Copies are not the same as cast unfortunately so you would only get one trigger.

I love this guy making his way into my modern lavaspike.dec for sure, better then spark elemental imo
