I looked through the cards yesterday. A lot of them look pretty neat, actually. That being said, I don't really play Magic and mainly just look over what new cards are coming out, so I'm not the best judge when it comes to new cards. I do have to say, though, that if all sets were like this one, I think I'd be okay with the game. Not having one or two deck types come out as OP allows for a variety of deck types to be competitive, and that's awesome.
Huh, that's good to know. I could have sworn that I lost a match a few years back because I couldn't respond to a Planeswalker on the stack. Now that I think about it, the problem there was that I brought down a Planeswalker's counters after they had already used them, meaning the ability still went off. Now I see.
Question 1: I popped off Liliana of the Veil's 2nd ability, causing an opponent to sacrifice a creature. In response, he played Altar's Reap, sacrificing that creature. I thought that planeswalker abilities don't go on the stack and therefore can't be responded to. Was I wrong>
Question 2: My opponent played Blasphemous Act. I had a Lumberknot, so I thought that Blasphemous Act wouldn't kill it since Lumberknot has Hexproof and Blasphemous Act deals damage specifically to each creature. I'm pretty sure that I'm wrong and that Blasphemous Act would kill the Lumberknot, but I just need to make sure.
I love the flavor of Garruk so friggin' much. Not sure how well it will do in Standard, but I just wanna own the card because it's so dang cool. It's definitely a card that's there for the long haul, ya know. If you can get him up and running, you're gonna do something. If not, he's out quick and that's it.
Silly question: For EDH, could he be put in a monogreen deck? A dual card counts as one card, but Relentless is green while Veil-Cursed is green/black.
Oh baby this card is gonna be nice come October. This is making me think that there's gonna be some type of archetype similar to Lightsworn in Yu-Gi-Oh! where the graveyard is filled up pretty darned fast.
I'm not too sure if I like Koth as a card, but I LOVE his flavor. Koth is one mean sonuvagun, and he's all about unleashing. His + is risky, but also powerful. Some serious RDW stuff right there.
I just want some level up effects that don't depend on mana in the future. Maybe something like, "Level up every time creature attacks," or, "Level up every time player draws a card" (of course this one would go to level 30 or so ).
There's a lot they can do with the mechanic, methinks, and right now they're really just skimming the surface.
Thanks.

Lovin' it.
Ruh-roh, that doesn't sound good...
