I think Clarion Spirit pushes you farther from 2 color aggro/midrangey builds that might play a couple 4s and a 5 and into hyper-aggro mono-color decks running 1 mana pumps/auras where the average cmc is 2. If you can support that kind of deck, I think this card will shine.
Alternatively, the card actually seems great in control. Getting a free 1/1 flying for casting Preordain seems like a great deal. You can drop this guy on turn 2 as bear and if he lives he eventually works as a kind of "free" wincondition (compare to Murmuring Mystic). 3 or 4 tokens will end the game quickly with a control shell backing it up.
Usher of the Fallen is certainly a staple but I think <50% of the time the card hits the battlefield will the ability actually be used. And less than <20% of the time if it's a turn 1 play. You just don't want to be spending your mana this way on early turns.
If you can trigger on t3 you're already getting a great rate, and if you can trigger it twice it's pretty bananas. But a terrible topdeck and not the easiest card in the world to actually trigger.
Worth noting he can trigger by casting one spell after him on the turn you play him.
Tuia Bearclaw is a great card, will add her for sure. Even with a 2/1 on the board she's 4/4 and the average case should be at least a 3/2, so she's a 5/5 then. She also works perfectly with the Gruul pump archetype I have. Any pump spell is basically copied since she will benefit from it as well. The small downside is that she's bad when she's alone on the board, but in RG aggro you've lost anyway if that happens for too long.
Ive wanted to support Gruul pump for a long time myself but it never seemed quite good enough. How would you say the archetype functions best in your cube? I don't see a ton of lynchpin support after a quick scan of your list.
Also worth noting the pump check is on resolution so sometimes you attack your 2/2 into their 3/3 thinking you have a 4/4, only to get stomped by a doom blade
Seems strong, especially if you have a few pirates lying around. In my 360 I found I'm already running 4 blue pirates and could easily slot in a couple more that were borderline. Exciting.
Another discrepancy to clear up is Manalith is listed as "Borderline" while Mana Geode which is strictly better is listed as "Bad" because "Seer's Lantern is better". Regardless of whether you prefer Seer's Lantern or Mana Geode, Mana Geode is obviously better than Manalith.
*Edit* Is Mana Geode actually that much worse than Seer's Lantern? You have to pay effectively 3 mana for the first Scry with the Lantern (2 + tapping the artifact), which means you have a whopping six mana investment before you start to pull "ahead" in value and give up colored mana in the bargain. I get that it is much better in a long game, but I think in many games the free instant scry and colored mana could prove better.
I'm relatively certain that mana geode is the better card.
Magmaw vs. Havoc Jester, any thoughts?
I am currently running the jester since Magmaw is really subpar the turn you play it vs. the "I win" factor if you resolve Jester with a free sac outlet on the board. Plus 4/4 vs 5/5 is a not insignificant difference.
Does Megalodon really take over the game? I feel like "block with my 4/4 and my 3/3" makes it look pretty silly as a finisher. Peasant is a format that lacks sweepers and tends to have a gummed-up ground -- evasion is king. IMO Megalodon looks pretty silly next to Jetting Glasskite.
Cards like Orzhov Enforcer also make Megalodon look pretty bad, which I have a number of in my cube.

Any chance we get a different one at uncommon?

Once again wizo has picked another random tribe out of a hat for w/b :sadge:

Worth a multicolor card slot in R/G? Wouldn't be surprised to see this attacking for 6 on turn 4, but also pretty easy to interact with or chump.
