I don't know that it would grant any counters but I have several allies that I wouldn't mind kicking. Sorry guys, I couldn't resist. Me personally? I am still not sure what to make of the whole ally thing. I haven't dug deep yet, but I haven't seen any super synergistic "ally" decks yet.
Welcome into the fold. Count yourself lucky cracking a Baneslayer in your first pack. There are alot of gawkers out there right now that would love to pry it from your cold sleepy hands. Best wishes, and if I can help you with anything PM me.
Glad you could join us. Reading about how you guys are using limited card pools reminds me of earlier days when me and my friends worked at Walmart around the release of Scourge. We would get our checks cashed and go up to the local card shop that didn't do singles in MTG just packs. There was no playgroup there. We would all buy a few packs on lunch, go back to work and crack em open. We would all gawk when someone would open an Akroma or some other gold. Wow, those were the days. Oddly enough, soon after that we discovered L&U(formerly Lion and Unicorn) who closed shortly after we learned what drafting was.
Avoid infractions and I'm sure you will always be welcome here. I learned very quickly not to bump a thread just cause I was curious of further feedback.
I remember not having a clue myself back in the day, and making up rules was fun.
Welcome to the show. As far as deck and or card tags go. I had a link for the tutorial, can't find it now. but you use [.card]Akroma, angel of wrath[./card] Without the .'s and you get Akroma, Angel of Wrath
