If I have multiple Rhystic Study in play, are they cumulative?

For my aluren combos deck:
Forest, two other lands, Birds of Paradise, Aluren or Enlightened Tutor, Cavern Harpy and Merfolk Traders.
Turn 1: Forest, Birds of Paradise
Turn 2: Land
Turn 3: Land, Aluren, Merfolk Traders, Cavern Harpy. Keep paying 1 life to return Cavern Harpy and play Merfolk Traders until I draw a Soul Warden. Then I keep returning and playing the Merfok Traders until I draw a Maggot Carrier. Then I keep returning and playing the Maggot Carrier FTW.

For my goblin aluren deck:
Forest, two other lands, Rampant Growth, Aluren and Goblin Matron.
I can get a 4th turn kill with this hand.
Turn 1: Forest
Turn 2: Land, Rampant Growth
Turn 3: Land, Aluren, Goblin Matron, Goblin Matron, Goblin Matron, Goblin Matron, Goblin Recruiter. Put Goblin Ringleader and 4x Goblin Chieftain on top of my library.
Turn 4: Play Goblin Ringleader then draw the 4x Goblin Chieftain and play them, then attack for something like 49.

Metallica has always been my favorite band. I got some flak when then changed from thrash metal to arena metal, then when they went after Napster, and finally when they came out with St. Anger.

I'm not an expert on running but I'll post how I trained. If anyone knows a better way to train for a half marathon, feel free to say so.

I try to exercise 5 times a week: running 3 times and riding the exercise bike twice.
Run #1 is a 3 mile run around my neighborhood that has some steep hills.
Run #2 is quarter mile intervals. What you do is run a quarter mile at 75% then rest one minute. Then repeat 10-12 times. This workout is really hard but it is worth it.
Run #3 is my endurance run. For the first month, it will be a 3 mile run. Then I will increase it by a mile each month so that I am up to about 10 miles by race time.

My marathon training is going to be slightly different. Everything will be the same except for the endurance run. It will look something like this:
week 1: 5 miles
week 2: 8 miles
week 3: 5 miles
week 4 10 miles
week 5: 5 miles
week 6: 8 miles
week 7: 5 miles
week 8: 11 miles
So the run that increases by a mile once every 4 weeks should be up to about 21 miles by race time. Let me know if you need any further clarification.

Wouldn't the best way to determine which standard deck was the most powerful be by having the best deck from each block play against each other? Would affinity beat jund? Would faeries beat academy?

If I have an Ana Sanctuary and a Cavern Harpy in play, does the cavern harpy fulfill both the blue and black requirements of the ana sanctuary?

I'm planning on running a full marathon in about a year. I better get started training!

Wow half an iron man. That's impressive. I am going to train for a full marathon next year but I'm not sure my knees can handle it. My knees were really sore from the half marathon but I'm about 20 lbs overweight. So I will have to see if losing the 20 lbs will make things easier on my knees.

@crosscounter: I know at the race there were plenty of beautiful, curvacious women; unlike your stereotypical skinny distance runners.

I'm familiar with Visions, Tempest and Stronghold. I won a block tournament with a Sliver counter deck from the Tempest block. I would probably go with Slivers or Chimeras.

Do you have a budget for this deck?

The Wurm Problem

A little over a year ago, there was this kid who plays in a local gaming store, so aptly and appropriately called "the Wurm." Its a long story, so I will make it brief, yet truthful and entertaining.

The Wurm is caught dealing an FNM event drawing cards off his lap. He is called out by another player and eventually banned from the store. A week or two later our store has its first Vintage tournament. The store is maxed out and extremely busy. During this time, the Wurm floods the store with phone calls - pleading to not be banned and to let back in. He is ignored and actually comes to the store and harasses the owner. My friend, well over 6ft and a former bouncer, is asked to escort him out of the store. Long story short, other stores speak out about the Wurm and he is eventually suspended from the DCI for year.

After the suspension, he makes amends with the store and is willing to fund a cube event. He doesn't show up for the first event and then blames the store for stiffing him.
