As a judge, do I ignore card renders or can I potentially give extra points for flavor or whatever?

    ManyCookies,

Card renders are ignored in terms of adding or taking of points from the participant. They are merely for "flavor" purposes, and should have no bearing on a result.

No need to poke me! I'm alive and well, I just ended up accdientally getting busy after my V/LA announcement.

I'll be sure to be more active in the coming days for this game, that I can guarantee. However, like moast others, I cannot really form very many other opinions about the game state if there isn't very much activity. So let's get to some of my comments:

Welcome Megiddo! It's a pleasure to have someone experienced as yourself join us.
Welcome Vaimes! I hope you enjoy your stay and that you can get you re-reading done very soon. I look forward to hearing what you've got to say Smile

With the information provided that the lynch on D-V didn't go well, I am still in favor of the previous Town opinion that Mograppler is scummy, but his response in post #443 indicates to me that many of are still trying to adjust to the game. It's really honestly too bad there has been so many replacements, but we cannot let that affect the final outcome.

For now, I cannot justify voting for anyone until I hear from the replacements and other folks who have not posted since Day 1.

With D_V in the lead for votes as well as there being less than 2 hours remaining before the official end to the daty, I will not be changing my vote to D_V. Hopefully you will continue to enjoy your time playing Mafia on MTGSalvation, even though your flaming against EternalLurker, Ophelia and Blues has irked me.

As I have some more work to do this evening, I wish everyone the best of luck for when we wake up in the morning. Sleep well, and don't let the Mafia visit!

The last picture depicts a woman standing in a circle casting a ritual. On full speculation, considering Onslaught and Legion blocks, what about W/B Clerics as the tribal deck? Clerics have been around as a tribe for a long time whit some specific support, but not enough in my opinion to warrant a full EDH deck. printing Clerics another lord or two would do the tribe a lot of good (plus I want an Orzhov Pontiff reprint to pick one up for Modern).

Otherwise yeah, the other tribes are easy to tell: Cats, dragons, Vampires.

V/LA for this weekend, especially all of Saturday and Sunday morning. I'm currently waiting on responses as requested from AudioTsumani, (Ohphidia), Fuggingolli***, and Blues.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

@AudioTsunami: I agree with nagobcnik: Please elaborate as to why you think full read lists are not a good idea. Also, swearing really isn't necessary to provide a constructive opinion (in my opinion, it is impolite). Also, EternalLurker has been removed from the game. Please change your vote accordingly, and it seems like Town is in agreement that Fuggingolli*** is scummy for lurking.

I argue that D_V is still scummy for posting inconsistencies, but I think it is a stronger read on Fuggingolli*** now, since he has yet to post after collective Town accusations.

    UnvoteVote: Fuggingolli***

Eh... are you telling Folza who to vote for now?

@Rhand and @BluesEclipse (joint reply), it's certainly not my intention to tell people how to vote based on your reading of my post. I'm merely trying to summarize where Town's opinion lies, but that may not be such a smart move this early into the game. Still have my FOS on Fug and D_V, and would be happy to hear from Audio some time soon.

@BluesEclipse You say I am still a bit higher up on your scum list. Can you please provide some more clarifying information on that point? I'd like to get some alternative opinions on my actions so far. As for EternalLurker's slot, that's right, it does still exist and I did not think that way when writing my response to AudioTsumani. Looks like I'll have to pay more attention to my specific words!

Based on AudioTsunami's response, my voting may change. I'm certainly irritated by the behavior, so there should be good reasoning behind it.

@BluesEclipse I must apologize, but considering how my day had been going I won't get a chance to respond this evening. Expect something before lunch tomorrow (EST time).

@nagobcink and @bloodmoon I appreciate both of your inputs so far to the game. You've been very reasonable, but I understand that nobody can be ruled out as scum or not. For now I'll be paying more attention, so please expect more responses from myself overall (unless real life nips at my heels again!)

You are entirely correct @Mograppler , it does mention that. I had merely added more information to fill in gaps, to try to avoid double-posting. If it is not appropriate @Wheat_Grinder my post can be dismissed and I can write a new one.

@BluesEclipse I would be more than happy to answer your response when I have more time this evening. Be on the lookout for a late night post, most likely.

(Work in progress wall of text post. My apologies.)

I was out of town this weekend to help a friend move, and I was still in the process of re-reading at that time (around the middle of page 5). I see this morning that there has been plenty of discussion, especially by BluesEclipse and D_V about players folding to pressure. I've certainly still not gotten comfortable with this style of play (text-based), which is why I have been having sporadic posting and a lack of genuine activity. However, after some of my re-reading I finally wanted to share my opinion general opinion of all other players, as of the time of this post:

    JulsSkogs
    Lean: Town
    Reasoning:

    King Torg
    Lean: Scummy
    Reasoning:

    Rhand
    Lean: Neutral
Reasoning: Not enough posts or information to go on, but he has a desire to remain active even while on vacation (and recently posted #311), which I respect.

    AudioTsunami
    Lean: Netural/Scummy
Reasoning: Not enough information or posts. Can't determine if lurking, inactive, or scum and not wanting to post out of fear of his works/statements getting twisted by the Town.

    fuggingolli***
    Lean: Town
    Reasoning:

    nagobcnik
    Lean: Town
    Reasoning:

    EternalLurker
    Lean: Town
Reasoning: In my last post I unvoted for EternalLurker because my general reason for voting for him in the first place was unjustified (I voted for him because he voted for me). Now that Town discussion/focus has switched gears, I no longer have a reason to vote for EternalLurker. Will wait an see how my opinions change as the day proceeds.

    Mograppler
    Lean: Scummy
    Reasoning:

    BluesEclipse
    Lean: Town
Reasoning: It seems he has a lot of experience with Mafia, has an opinion of every aspect of the game (including refrencing lines of thinking I wouldn't have even thought up (such as post #301). I respect your intelligence and attitude towards the game, and it seems like you are trying to get a read on everyone now, and not just specifically targeting me, although at points that targeting was justified.

    D_V
    Lean: Scummy
Reasoning: I don't know what kind of information EternalLurker has on you out-of-game, but in-game, the inconsistencies you have posted on page 6 and 7, in my opinion, justify the scum lean I have on you. I find some of your statements as far fetched as Eternal and Blues do. As well, there seems to already be a consensus about voting for you.

    Bloodmoon0324
    Lean: Town
    Reasoning:

I will have to go back and re-read the reasoning behind the Town switching from voting for myself to voting for D_V. Once I have more information on that matter I will make another post.

    Voting clarification:

    Unvote Vote: D_V

Regardless of the statements EternalLurker has made in post #315, statements D_V has made on pages 6 and 7 in his discussions with Blues and Eternal are so far-fetched, I cannot justify a vote for anyone more than I can for D_V. I had already intended to write a post marking an FOS and vote on MysticSunray for lurking, but it seems that D_V has justified a vote for himself due to inconsistency.

@Moggrapler: I would be more than happy to share with everyone my explanation for getting a mentor. You've got it right: I think it was more a lack of understanding and frustration. I'm new to the format and haven't been able to get very good reads on anybody. I'm certainly going to go back and do an entire re-reading, as it seems like since I last posted I'm still on the chopping block but would prefer to be saved from that fate. That being said, my only current defense is that I am having trouble writing a defense, which is where I hope my mentor will be able to assist.

I'm looking to be more active now, I truly am, and when I get a better framework on reads I will let you know within the next couple real-life days.

@Bloodmoon: You are correct that I have possibly cracked under pressure, but I am confident I can make a full recovery. We'll just have to see what happens in the meantime.

Honestly, I agree with the arguments set against me. My activity levels have been extremely low, and honestly it might be that I am not focusing enough on the game. Obviously I do not want to spoil the game for everyone, but it may probably just be better that a replacement be found; not because all evidence points towards scuminess or that a vote train is incoming that I am trying to step away from. Perhaps it may have been better for me to sign up with a mentor for first-time forum Mafia. There is honestly though, no valid excuse other than that I haven't been trying hard enough.

Whatever the Town wishes, that is up for all of you to decide. The rope is hitched and it's getting to the point in the week where it's getting time to make a decision for hanging.

    Unvote: EternalLurker
