I think that this deck has a lot of potential, but I have tested it and it often does come up just a little bit short. We need some other win condition or burn in the deck. Something. I don't know what though.
Have you thought about using Momir Vig with Thrumming Stone? I liked the article as it was very casual, but that combo is a fun, casual combo also. If you have both Momir Vig and Thrumming Stone in play, if you play any green creature, you get all 4 of them out of your deck. That seems good with things like Loxodon Heirarch, Cytoplasy Rootkins, etc. If you do it with Coiling Oracles, you get 4 oracles, and then get some combination of 4 spells in hand and lands in play. Just something fun to think about.
That's Seal of Fire right there. Just compare the artwork.
And yes, there is a seal there. He broke it above his head, so it's erupting in flames the way the old art did.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't really see a seal in this picture. I just think that it's going to be the B/R power uncommon like Putrefy and Lightning Helix
I'm simply wondoring, and trying to come up with an idea. After DIS, the deck will have simic shocklands, signets and perhaps other surprises. The deck will work similar to wild gifts, but with land stealing spells. I would not know the exact colors-its just an idea.
What would a Wild Gifts decklist look like? I don't think I've seen one.
Graven Dominator is also pretty cool, though I have a question. If you play it when you have a Night of Souls' Betrayal in play, does it kill every other creature? Or does making it a 1/1 take p/t modifiers into effect already?
It kills all the other creatures.
I think that Orzhov is turning out very solid. Ghost Council and Tesya are both solid, potentially really powerful cards.
I think that the animist is going to be really big in limited. Put a moldervine cloak on him and go to town. Heaven forbid you put a pollenbright wings on him too.

I don't think that Research is that good. The other half seems really cool though.

I can't wait for the phoenix.
