That's just the second time I picked this game up...I have no idea how much I spent when I first played between Mercadian Masques and Mirrodin (damn you, Affinity). I also don't know how much of it was trading up over the years vs. cash spent. It was a lot.
So now that Gideon is finally at rest/peace in the afterlife, who do you think WotC will replace him with in regards to a white Planeswalker card that they will print frequently? I'm assuming whoever they choose will also replace him in the storyline as well.

I can understand and sympathize about the purchasing experience and being out of pocket for somewhere between 7 and 30 days as credit cards are reimbursed. However, anything apart from those two reasons are completely irrational.
At the end of the day, Wizards wanted to sell a collector's item in a limited quantity. They collaborated with one of the world's best e-commerce sites and the demand was just too high.
EBay has to learn a lesson and scale their infrastructure to meet demand in special cases like this.

(Brittany) if that matters, who said I could file for 'failure to deliver item' if I don't receive anything today, but I could only do this after the 5/8 date has passed. I'll be given the option to request a refund or continue requesting the item. If I continue to request the item then eBay will send something to Hasbro. That's about where the conversation ended.
For the record, I had my first order canceled due to a sales tax issue and my second order went through...received both the ebay confirmation in my email address and the message eBay sent out the following day to people who were actually confirmed (that whole "not as happy as you" message). Still, it worries me that even people who received that message are getting requests by eBay to have their orders cancelled.
I guess somewhere in the back of my mind I'll keep hoping for a second print run, given how much of a mess this was.
wizards painted themselves into a corner by explicitly stating a limit with a firm assurance that no more would be printed. had they not it doesnt seem farfetched that they might have printed a few thousand more (like 3k or something), while still maintaining the spirit of 'limited print run'.
then again i have little to no knowledge of how production happens, given the timeline of the release of sets/products relative to how far in advance design/dev is it stands to reason they cant just fire up a printer willy nilly and produce whatever they want; so who knows.
For those getting shipping notice today, what part of the country are you located? And do you know approx how many were listed sold when you purchased?
Got my order confirm message days ago, but still waiting on shipping notification.
from the reddit posts ive been checking regularly to see if anything new has been happening people are claiming no tracking from areas all over the US, some canada, some EU or asia. definitely not enough info to discern any sort of pattern (like people theorizing 2 box orders were going to be shipped last).
I can confirm that the last bit is false. My friend had his two box order shipped yesterday. My two boxes have not been shipped.
Do we have an idea of how common the "congrats email with no shipping" situation is? I know I'm in that boat right now and it's making me nervous.
im in the same boat. ive read more of the same from comments on reddit, but its such a narrow perspective on what is going on that there is no way to tell how extensive it is.

My friend and I are in this situation as well; however, he told me Ebay didn't send him a shipping notification for Allegiance either. Then again, he also got two extra boxes for free. If only we could all be so fortunate...
Everybody went to buy it now...I added two to my cart and ran through the process that way. Went through the "confirm payment" process and the page timed out after I noticed they weren't charging sales tax. Tried again around 2:03 CST with the same method...add two to cart, put in CC information, etc. and it went through. Didn't realize until later that the order confirmation email meant nothing and only the ebay message confirms it. I got lucky. I do hope those who had their orders processed, paid for, then cancelled get some kind of compensation from WotC (not just an Ebay gift card).
I have not played Commander in life, I only know that it is 1 card as maximum and that there is a boss who sets the colors or something like that.
Trust me when I say that you only need to appreciate the game of Magic to get entertainment out of the stories/plays in that thread. No commander experience required. Give it a shot.

Avenge me with Blood Funnel of all the people who have used Turbo Fog or some trash of the style to let them know that there is no merit or fun in playing 30min starting where +20 min you do it alone.

They had no permanents left, but were a good sport about it and kept playing. They pivoted into more of a king-maker role than one where they tried to win.
Congrats on the awesome pull, but I'm not sure I understand the concern. Are you traveling or did you crack them all in the parking lot? If so, I stick it between two cards and put it in my wallet. If you opened it at home then I just double sleeve it and put it into a binder or deck.
Er...how is that thing real? A Plague Wind for planeswalkers for two mana and no downsides? Something tells me that thing is gonna get banned in many Commander groups, you can grief the entire table for a paltry two mana. Not to mention it sounds stupid-good in Standard, and absolutely busted in Limited, imagine playing dropping 2 of your walkers in Sealed and then getting hit with that, eating a 2-for-1 while your opponent also pumps their own walker.
And yeah,the art in Deliver unto Evil is amazing, feels as what some ancient chronicles would use to illustrate that part of the story, amazing job.
There's no sense in comparing this card to Plague Wind...Prophecy was a very different time in the game with a very different concept of power levels.
The elder spell is ridiculous. The planeswalker card type doesn't really need this kind of hate. I think I pass on playing any planeswalker in limited or at least not more than one at time.
Strikes me as a silly idea. Why play around a card you aren't even sure your opponent has in the deck?
Spearbreaker Behemoth is far more important than Shaman of the Forgotten Ways. If you're trying to stick to the "4 cards of $2 or less" bit then that's the swap you make.
The shocks and fetches had already been reprinted when the BFZ expeditions came out, but we haven't seen reprints of Misty Rainforest, Scalding Tarn, etc. These reprints are obviously coming in the future, so would that drive the prices down on their respective expeditions? I want to pick up a Misty expedition, but if it's going to drop in value once the standard-legal version is reprinted then I'll wait. What do you think?
