My biggest problem with this site is the strategy aspect is really lacking compared to the wizards site. Most people here can't build a deck or play competitively to save their life.
To all people saying this will not see play: Do you remember a little card called Scrying Sheets and how much it was played? Even decks which only snow cards were the lands, played this for a small chance of card advantage even if it costed them 3 per activation. This one costs 4 ONCE and then you start "drawing" lands directly from the top as you did with the Sheets AND putting them directly into play additionally to your turn's land drop. You really do not want to understimate card advantage.
That was a LAND.
This is a two toughness creature. It dies to absolutely everything. Sheets is a FAR more powerful card.
It says end of turn step so if you draw two during opponents turn its good to go as well and there are enough time walks around where this could be a force in ext and legacy and type 1
Goblin Assault, dragons, artifacts, and the Zombies... all tribal interactions some big some small.
These aren't really tribal interactions, they're mechanic based cycles that are present in every set. They're (obv) much more akin to RAV guilds than tribes.
It has no lifelink, which would be better for Lascerator, but the recursion makes it a different kind of good. No reason you can't run both, though, I will.
Uh, you shouldn't be playing mono black when you can easily splash another color. That's why you don't play Child of Night, which is bad, or Consume Spirit, which is worse. I mean, Putrid Leech is just infinitely better than CoN.
I'm not discounting this being played in standard. Other good green creatures plus counters and harrow maybe? I can imagine some turn 4 or 5 wins with this guy with a harrow or two.
I'm not saying it's gonna be format defining but it has an outside shot.
And yes, as others stated, probably a first pick in draft
Not a first pick, not with all of the other big bombs that are being shown so far, but certainly a high pick.
U/R Draw-go style control is better than ever with this new more robust sweeper. It has one of the best finishers in the game in Bogardan Hellkite. It has Jace, Lightning Bolt, Volcanic Fallout. I think it could work out.
Except Magma Phoenix really isn't very good. If I were worried about a Lavaball Trap, I'd be so excited that they dropped a Phoenix.
This pisses me off. I thought extended might actually get interesting instead of having decks that can always splash for Engineered Explosives and Ancient Grudge. Not to mention that if fetch lands were out that Zoo would be hurting something awful. At least TEPS is out, but that's about the only change coming to Extended. Oh no, we lost Sulfuric Vortex... please.
So I see you saw LSV's latest video, because every single thing you said was taken DIRECTLY from what he said. It's funny that you didn't mention a single other point though.
I don't play limited, though I'll be beginning come Zendikar. So I do'nt know very much about limited myself. I guess anything with evasion and power is good there.:D
It's the best format. You have deckbuilding and different gameplay every time. It's a lot of fun, and it's cheap.
They're the best Duals since the originals.

**** YOU WAYNE REYNOLDS.
Does have a STENCIL that he uses for ALL of his stuff? Jesus H. Cr'His'th!
Infraction for censor evasion.
It's almost embarrassing how bad it is.
I'm laughing my ass off. This is awesome.

Shards block?

Yeah... I'm not sure what he's talking about.
If there are a few common Allies, it will be really easy to get seven to ten allies in a deck.
