If you like the channel tech, then play it. If not, cut it and play the infinite other cards that go well in this deck. Just have some freaking fun!!!!
After about a zillion games, the channel trick has happened early in a game one time. I brought a Ulamog in on turn 4 in a tournament and it was really good, but then got stolen, and stolen again, then pacified. I took a ton of damage and was at risk of dying early on. It is a high risk/high reward situation. I would still play with channel, but not to be a punk about it. Just for the awesome game states. Thanks for watching...look for the list because we have made tons of great updates to the deck.
Don't think those are as consistent as the eldrazi specific lands and temple of the false god. I have tested the deck and could test out those lands, but the land list is getting pretty tight.

I hope that you guys post some of your decks and find some hot chicks to read through the cards. My wife is great and wins a lot of tournaments. We will keep the videos coming as long as you guys keep watching.
There is a guy that plays Karn in Orlando Florida or maybe south Florida. We run into him at prerelease events, but noone in town (maybe 50 players) runs him. I know that there are some good tricks but I have seen that deck get murdered by tons of artifact hate (Kataki, Wars Wage, etc).
We might catch up and do a deck profile with that guy. I am glad that you guys are liking the vids. We will keep them coming as long as people watch them. I know that there are getting to be a number of requests. We are trying to get to the most called for generals (at this point I think it is Jhoira).
I think the eldrazi drones and Awakening zone could not be colorless because they would be too broken in standard. You do not want to provide ramp for every single type of mono deck. I imagine too much ramp in blue or white would be broken. It is likely a balancing issue.
Glad to see that you guys are making videos and promoting the format. So many people e-mail every week asking about the rules, how to play, and want to understand what makes EDH so great. We have a grassroots effort that is supplementing the great game of Magic that we love...
Some decks have a general driven theme. I wanted the Rise of the Eldrazi tribe and cards from the new set to drive the deck theme. They just happened to fall under the jund colors and he is a cool enough general. You can't play awakening zone, channel, or survival of the fittest without green so the Emrakul deck would come up short.
Colorless is cool, but we wanted to bring in all sorts of other eldrazi spells! Hope you finish watching the video. I guess the general could have been just about anyone. Xirial or something...

The Tampa Grand Prix has come and gone. You should be thrilled to know that they added EDH events to the event schedule and had more than 15 pods (of 4) play on Sat. and Sunday. The EDH events were not even on the schedule and players were begging for them. Tons of folks brought their EDH decks. I had a blast and got a chance to play with a ton of new players. What a community!

We have a fun video called the Douche Bag list where we get to crack on and debate our least favorite cards, and we added a video interview with Patrick Chapin at the Playboy Mansion. Well, it felt like a party at the mansion but was actually at Sheldon Menery's home the night before the GP. Cool stuff.
