Getting vial online is probably top priority, then mom. so if you have any type of first turn play that is usually the way I prioritize them. turn 1 vial, turn 2 thalia if I have her, then vial in mom end of opponent's turn. If they have nothing to interact at that point then you are usually going to be ok.

    1. So would you just play the vial into a potential daze? That doesn't seem right to me, but I always don't want them to get to timewalk me for free.
    2. Any thoughts about the deck list?

Hey everyone. I took a 6 year break and thus am new to Death & Taxes. This is what I've been testing.

I'd really appreciate input. Maybe I've just been paired up against some decks too much (MUD, Storm notably) but I've had some concerns. I expect to play this in DC.

Aside from input on the above list, I really need help in my decision process on the draw when my opponent drops a fetch land or an island and plays a ponder or delver and passes.

In scenarios such as opening hand having
    1. 1 vial, more expensive stuff.
    2. 1 mother, more expensive stuff
    3. 1 vial, 1 mother, more expensive stuff

I feel like in scenarios 1 or 2 I have to pass so I don't get dazed out, but I hate that b/c it's like I'm starting 2 turns behind. In scenario 3 I feel I bait with mother then next turn cast vial, but that still feels bleh.

Any insite beyond what I read on the first couple and last couple pages would be appreciated.

Also, please excuse my deck tag, I haven't deck tagged since 2007 and forgot how to format.

Edit, also I've been considering turning the eiganjo castle into another plains or a flagstones. Also curious about the ghost quarters since some decks don't run basics or it can kill problematic lands.

If you sold it to someone in person I would say $250-275. If you sold it on ebay you might get $300 on a good day with decent seller feedback (minus fees). If I were to trade it away I would hold firm at $300 trade. People are always willing to give a small premium on power nine in trades.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It's hard to find a Mox someone will trade down like I'm willing to. Thanks for the feedback.

Has anyone calculated, based on current values, how many cards you'll pull usually that are worth over $5 and how many boosters you'll have left over after figuring things out and setting the >$5 rares aside? I rarely buy boxes anymore but it seems like doing this would be cool to get the rares I want and set aside the other packs to do drafting with.

Yeah, I've been following MOTL and ebay prices and checking to see how low they can end some times. I'm in no rush so I've been hoping to either snipe some ebay auctions or find someone on motl who needs cash quickly so i can get mires at 21, heath at 29, foothills at 22, strand at 35. If I could get 12 fetches total without having to spend too much on shipping that would work out well enough for me.

Hope this is the right place to post...I've been absent a while...and it has been a long time since I priced power. 1. What would you say this is worth in cash? 2. How many bloodstained mires would you say it's worth? Front: http://imgur.com/sHeMV1r Back: http://imgur.com/M7An3UR No bends, rips, creases, etc. Just the damage on the bottom left (only affects the front not all the way through) If I could get 4 mire, 4 heath, 4 foothills, and 2 strand I'd be really happy but I'm not expecting that much.

I appreciate the response. If I could get 4 mire, 4 heath, 4 foothills, and 2 strand I'd be really happy but I'm not expecting that much. Yeah I expect it's worth a little under 300. Worth more in trade for legacy stuff than cash

    heh, my post

It bugs me when players consistently cheat and don't get banned. James Fulgium got dq'd from a tournament when I played him in tx b/c he tried to put a mana leak back in his hand with 2 lands via life from the loam. a couple weeks later, i think in the top 8, his opponent notices he drew an extra card and calls him on it. james then claims the other guy must have just forgotten to draw a card and that's why it was uneven. everyone always knew he cheated, but i never heard of a suspension. and the judge jeff zandi has to know james cheats. he's been at the scene often enough to notice the pattern.

lol just looked up some old stuff, remembered that, and wanted to post. if you look up 'James Fulgium' magic it brings this crap up.

Kijin, sorry if I came across as complaining, I surely didn't mean to. Anyone who remembers me from back in the day here or on mtgnews knows that isn't really my style. I really appreciate all you and the mods do. I was really just trying to find out how often it gets updated and get to know what i could expect. i'm really far behind catching back up. The last time i played an extended tournament was me top 8ing a ptq in Chicago in March of 2007. I'm a little out-dated Wink

    thanks again, everyone!
