    Ahhh, gotcha. I had thought it would search Gatherer first, then fall back to magiccards.info. Thanks for the explanation and quick response!

    Hey there, I just downloaded the Magic Origins data, and the Double Faced Planeswalkers didn't come through correctly. Here are the problems that I see (I'm exporting to Excel, so I'm only looking at the columns I chose to export)

    1. CMC, Mana Cost and Rules Text of both sides show the CMC and Mana Cost of the front
    2. Power, Toughness and Loyalty of both sides show information from the other side (both Kytheon and Gideon are shown as a 2/2 with 3 loyalty)
    3. Variation of both sides show the same thing (I assume the front side)
    4. [*}Neither side has anything in the "ID (back)" column

    As always, great work. This is a great tool that I'm sure will only continue to get better Smile

    Hi chaudakh,

    For the last few months, I have not been able to get data for new promo cards such as FNM promos or Prerelease Events. I'm not sure where Gatherer Extractor gets the information for the promo cards because it doesn't look like Wizards has promo cards in Gatherer. Is it possible that the source being used changed something related to the promo cards?

    One more suggestion... Would you be able to add an option to modify how cards with variations (such as basic lands) are named when the images are downloaded? For example, currently the four Islands that are in a Core Set will download as Island1, Island2, Island3, Island4. However, I would like them to be named Island (1), Island (2), etc. I see this as an option similar to how the user can decide what to use as the line-break character.

    Thanks!

    I was thinking that the mtgimage integration could be something like:
    1) Check for card at mtgimage
    2) If it isn't there, check gatherer
    3) If it isn't there, check magiccard.info

    Gatherer also doesn't have the promos, but magiccard.info usually does. But, I'm sure you'll implement it in an awesome way, and I can't wait!

    Hey there Chaudakh,

    Have you ever considered integrating with mtgimage.com for high quality card images? I think that would be a great addition to an already amazing program. Anyway, thanks for all your continued hard work!

    I don't recall changing them, but I performed a fresh install and now it works perfectly. Thanks for your quick reply on this. Any plans on adding an option of which formats to compute legalities for rather than always doing all the formats?

    Every time I try to compute legalities, the program gives the following error:

    Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

    Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    Here are the details:

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    This happens every time, and whether I use a saved database, or a freshly downloaded one. Clicking continue does start the process, but I assume that this exception should not be there.

    Update: I was mistaken: Clicking continue does not start the process. It simply starts the "Elapsed time" timer, but is appears that nothing is happening. After 30 minutes, no card has had it's legality processed, and the timer was still going up. It also never gave me a time remaining.

    This is an amazing program. My one problem with it is that when computing legalities, it computes every legality that is listed, and since it goes through each card for each legality one at a time, that takes a lot of time. Would you be able to add a feature in a future release that would allow us to select which legalities to include?

    @stickman:
    Elite Vanguard is there as an early game. Turn one, EV, turn two Honor of the Pure means swinging for an easy 3. I disagree about the Captain. Sure it's 6WW, but it also give me 3 2/2 and a 3/3 all with vigilance, plus powers up any other soldiers I have out from Knight-Captain, Elspeth, or even the EV. Also, with four of them, I almost always get one with Windbrisk, so that drops the cost from 4WW to 1W.

    @Ramon:
    I was thinking of that, but I really only have 6 soldier CREATURES in the deck, so I felt that most of the time I wouldn't be able to take advantage of it's ability. Also, I don't have any Grin

    This is a pretty self-explanatory deck. If you can't tell, it works by getting out small creatures, then pumping them various different ways. I'm very happy with how this deck is performing. It just went 4-0 at an FNM and 3-1 (losing because I got mana-flooded) at a Standard Constructed tournament. These are without the Ajani, and one more Knight-Captain. So far, I haven't had a problem against Faeries, 5CC, Time Sieve, Discard, Mill, RDW, or Jund Cascade.

    Before you say anything, I'm trying to get a second Ajani, and if I can, I will be taking out one of the Walls for it. Any other comments/advice would be greatly appreciated.
