I was sitting next to Laura when you guys were discussing the cards. Was cubing with her son (personal friends of mine and such) Those alters look awesome, as expected, of course.

I should be posting more of my alters soon...it's been awhile. Been working on a slew on textless alters that my friend commissioned me...mostly to torture me with the hardest cards he could find for me to alter.

For the library, he said he wanted a more drastic ice theme, so I painted any icy pillar and such. I think it fits rather well, but to each his own.

Some recently finished stuff, and some older stuff.

Been awhile since I posted, but here's some stuff I've done in the past few months.

I'm just confused how anyone could ever be disappointed in Aether Vial. Huh?!

At least the art is fantastic. I mean, wow. It reminds me of something out of a Henry Fuseli painting.

I went 5-1 last night, for my forth consecutive first place.

My list is rather standard, other than that I run 1 Llianna in replace of 1 garruk. ( I don't run any garruk).

Anyway, Llianna was good the three times I saw her. I got her ultimate off against Boss Naya, which of course won the game. Overall, I was pleased and believe she did more than garruk would have. Both have their benefits and weaknesses, and of course garruk is far more popular. That said, I will keep testing llianna.

Just for reference: my fnms are almost always 40+ people. A lot of poor players, but the later rounds are always competitive.

Just started playing jund last week, for a 46 person fnm and 42 person gameday. With 4 ravines and 1 reach, I went a total of 13-0. In that span reaches only did damage three times. Once, however, was for 9 damage.

4/1 seems like a good number.

So far, at FNM and gameday, I'm 13-0 with jund, losing only 5 total games. I run a singleton garruk, and I haven't been impressed with him at all. That said, this week I'm running a single vess over garruk to test. I'll post here if anyone cares.

Leeches block, and why would you ever pump a leech when the opponent has open red mana? That's just bad playing. Terminate, if you have any in the board, is the best thing to bring in against RDW.

I run one in the sideboard, along with discard and thought hemorrhage. This for control matchups. I wouldn't run vess in the maindeck for any reason.

Those foils are really good if you're just starting...I've ruined like 10 junky foils while trying to figure the process out. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but the end result always looks dirty, like it's covered in ash or something. Maybe I'm using too much gel stripper...I'm not sure.

You do realize pithing needle affects all players, right? Seems like a risky, and often needless, move to me.

Went 5-1 tonight at FNM. I will post decklist and a few details tomorrow.

Just a few tidbits, as I'm tired.

Round 1 - 2-1 Against Monowhite Allies.

Round 2 - 2-0 Against Crabmill - Won second game with 1 card lift in library. Earthquake for a lot for the win.

Round 3 - 1-2 Against the mirror. Couldn't beat 2nd turn Luminarch Ascension, and I never saw mine.

Round 4 2-0 Against esper aggro. Not sure how this deck was 2-1 at this time.

Round 5 2-1 Against vampires. Somehow beat triple gatekeeper against I cast wall, sphinx, sphinx. Spreading seas, as a two of from the board, won game three.

Round 6 2-1 Against Eldrazi.

A few fun facts! I hit Jace's ultimate 5 times and Ajani's twice. Very satisfying.

I drew 7 cards off one treasure hunt, and 5 cards three separate times, and averaged about 3 cards with Jace and depths. This card is amazing.

Not so fun- Enchantments like luminarch and eldrazi and such are a noticeable problem.

Counter magic, I do 3/3 essence scatter and negate, but I sometimes feel like I want another essence scatter.
I didn't like double negative after testing. Too many times I lacked the appropriate mana or had to fetch according to DN rather than the rest of my hand. I do run 2 DOJ mainboard, however.
