There's a new sideboard option against this deck in the next set that any color can run: Mindbreak trap, BB2 instant If an opponent cast three or more spells this turn, you may pay 0 rather than pay Mindbreak Trap's mana cost.
Exile any number of target spells.

As powerful as the new lackey is though, goblins will have to sacrifice an optimal curve to put him in.

Goblins will be getting better with the next set though, now that they got a new lackey: RR for a 1/1 double strike with lackey's ability.

From experience on MWS, a particularly annoying matchup is Enchantress, especially if you don't have a solidly fast opening hand. I seemed to have no problems with beating goblins with a standard mono blue list. The one deck that does seem to give me problems is enchantress; the massive card draw, elephant grass, runed halo, oblivion ring, then that one enchantment that makes them immune to damage and untargetable. What are sideboard options to improve this matchup?

I like the look of the guide. He can be card disadvantage, but does give you inside info on what the opponent is drawing which could be much more useful as you will know what to Tutor for. He is able to kill x/2 like Fanatic did.

It would depend if you see a whole lot of dredge/ichorid in your meta, as you'd want Fanatic for that matchup to remove bridges.

Tomb Lord's Quest is perfect for this deck...

Roland Garros' B/W poxless seems to be doing pretty well with four top 8 finishes and 2 1st place finishes:

Anyhow, it seems like trend of most control decks is headed to at least partial aggro, as creature power level has drastically increased over time. For example, counterbalance threshold runs Tarmogoyf. Thus, green-black aggro pox may be a better direction to go.

I'm considering converting my build to more of an aggro build with Nyxathid, possibly Dusk Urchins, and Tomb Stalker. What do you guys think?

@Maddogleafs- What types of aggro decks give your Pox build problems?

Out of curiosity, what is your current pox build with the kegs Carnifex?

Is the powder keg a meta decision to handle Ichorid? What type of aggro is giving you problems?

@Maddogleafs- How do you sideboard with your list versus burn? I assume pox is out for extirpate? Does extirpate really help that much versus burn? Can you give me examples of cards you've extirpated versus burn?

@Maddogleafs- I've been playtesting your list a bit on MWS. My conclusion is that 4x crucible is the right amount as well. One thing I might change to that list is adding a 2nd Raven's Crime, although I'm not quite sure what to take out for it. I like the thoughtseizes in there. It helps a lot versus creature aggro as their are less threats to kill later. Also, at 18 life pox hits you for 6 instead of 7, making thoughtseize only a 1 life net loss. I'm not quite sure about Volrath's stronghold. Would Horizon canopy singleton be better in this slot?

I've had Syphon Life win for me twice. It's good considering your opponent will be at low life already and is a potential win condition.
