On the whole the changes seem fine, except for cutting the Moth... I have never played with it but it seems really good, actually; I'm sure it makes combat math a nightmare for your opponent. Also, not convinced by Rogue Elephant. I agree with cutting Rampant Growth, but is it worth the risk?
Also, Mindstab is insane. If you suspend it turn 1 or 2, it is incredibly awkward for opponent, as you said. Chandra's Outrage is definitely decent as well, well worth adding.
Your argument for Somnomancer does seem valid, but Silkbind Faerie is ridiculous - in Shadowmoor Limited it was basically a 3-for-1 (tap a guy, block a guy, plus a clock). I agree with you removing the 2-mana tappers (way worse than Goldmeadow Harrier), but the Faerie is just amazing.
Like Lanxal said, Curse of Chains is pretty hot too, especially in foil.
The ☺☺☺☺... kirby what are you trying to accomplish?
Haha. What am I trying to accomplish? To make sure my favourite pet cards end up on top!
...Seriously? Of course not, I just list cards in the order I think they are best. It would be rather boring if everyone put the exact same 20 in the exact same order no? Although I definitely feel we need more voters... I don't want my single 'rogue' vote to massively distort the results.
On Guardian of the Guildpact: agree with Rubin8or, it does seem to be a little overrated; all you need is a moderately sized multicoloured dude or some multicoloured removal.
On Capsize: perhaps I am underrating it, but I just feel that versatile, splashable cards like looters/Mulldrifter/counters are better.
Of course I've Capsize-locked and been Capsize-locked many a time, but I've wrecked somebody with Man-'O-War many more times, and half the time I wasn't even playing control. Although Mulldrifter/counters/Looters will not singlehandedly win you the game like Capsize can, their versatility is what makes them better for me.
Seriously guys though, I have to disagree with all of you putting Capsize first. I'm assuming this is P1P1; in which case, would you slam the Capsize the moment you saw it? I probably wouldn't. I wouldn't mind taking it, but I would look for other blue cards first (obviously, blue is where it's at in my cube). I would definitely take Mulldrifter/Man-'O-War, a Looter or a decent counter over it (as you can see), because while it's certainly powerful and can lock your opponent out of the game, it's too narrow; taking it P1P1 forces you to be U/x control; while that is a fine* archetype, sometimes it's not always possible; where as a Looter, a decent counter or Mulldrifter/Man-'O-War can go in any U/x or X/u deck.
*Best
But, maybe it's just me. After all, three of you did put it first.
Sweet!! M11 Launch Party, went 5-0, came first, got 9 packs and a T-shirt. Also traded for a ton of sweet cube cards, included this hot altered Steppe Lynx and some unglued lands.
Harbour Servant sucks in cube; was decent in M11 limited, but definitely not good enough for cube.
I also finally got to do some cube post-M11. Sacred Wolf is better than I predicted - an absolute nightmare for the control deck. I love the way my cube is turning out - aggro (especially G aggro) is becoming a lot more viable.
Edit: @Lanxal: I'm still really confused about Tidewater Minion... it just seems really expensive and clunky. What sort of decks does it typically go in?
Giant Spider definitely seems unimpressive. I run Cloudcrown Oak, who is generally pretty decent, but I'm not whether it's better or worse than Penumbra Spider. The 3 power means it can go on the offense, but the Thrinax-style ability seems pretty decent.
I like your changes overall, but am sad to see Wearbear go. He's been really solid for me, and come on, he's called Werebear.
