Would jitte really crush this format? Swords of X and Y get equipped on turn 3 with a mana dork just like Jitte and its not format warping. You can't swing with Jitte on turn 2. Lets get it off the Ban list ffs.
You clearly have never actually played a game of magic involving Jitte ever. "ffs"
Cawblade actually plays more vcliques than fae (4). And while im not disputing thatfae dominates combo, caw has a positive (while .not AS good of a matchup as fae) against combo of all sorts. Frankly i dont see how that warrents playing muf when caws aggro matchup is strikingly better
The real question that must be asked is: why would you choose to pilot this deck over cawblade? Both are the same core of vclique counterspells manlands and instand speed actions but caw has acces to true card advantage (hawks, snap) and a miles and away stronger sb combi
ned with path and snap that make aggro matchups a joke.
For reference im assuming an optimal caw list that is running shackles and tec edges. And speaking from experoencr shackles is just as potent in cawblade, they run plenty of islands.
I don't think you can compare Caw to Faeries because they play a different game, but you should know that by having experience with playing both decks. Caw is stronger against aggro and quite weak to combo, faeries is very good against combo and has a a fair chance against aggro with its painless manabase, But trying to say that one deck is superior to the other doesnt quite work that way, imo.
They are both blue based aggro control decks that revolve around instant speed creatures and permission. They are very comparable.
Caw is not weak to storm twin or melira. I would say its slightly favored, especially after board. However its undeniable that muf is borderline 100% vs combo.
Muf is very poor vs affinity. Red aggro decks actually arent as bad as affinity in fact. Mostly because the overseer master lists have 16.cards that just kill you (ravager plating master overseer),.where as red aggr just tries to accumulate dmg that is easier to keep under control. Eh im rambling my point is: affinity stomps muf and loses to caw.
Both fine/slightly favored vs midrange but muf gets more % vs combo but loyses to affinity. Id rather have a winnable matchup than an improved already positive matchup..
I'm pretty sure fae is just worse than caw....I speak from experience in playing both. Caw with 2 md shackles just feels superior to fae in every way except vs Blood Moon, which doesn't seem to be as prevalent at the moment.
I did split the finals. What are you talking about. Well I conceded cause Tim was in the running for the team prize and I was not. We split the winnings
My List:
Still don't know if I like batterskull or wurmcoil better.
The list looks great and similar to what ive been testing lately. However, id be interested to know how you beat a turn 2 shrine on the draw, and how you boarded vs mono red in the tournament. Ive considered running spellkite in the board to soak up shrine or soak up 2 burns
Wuffles how was the split on the Sphinx and Frosty for you?
Also how do you feel about playing more explores? Does playing Solemn make running explore unnecessary? Since all you're interested in is ramping up to 6
I haven't had time to test lately, excuse me for the questions

Clearly youre very uninformed considering caw won a 155 person ptq 2 days before that, had 2 top 8s in the mocs, and has won multiple premier events.

Exactly what i was thinking. Got what he deserves in losing after that play.
Edit: nevermind -_-
