I was wondering...how's this deck do against turbofog? because turbofog or some variant seems viable post-rotation

I feel like it'll do okay against turbofog, only problem card is Safe Passage boning Bogardan Hellkite on the warp. Ob Nixilis bypasses Safe Passage though.

Fog in general is just frustrating for the warp world player, not necessarily good. I've only ever played Nayafog and that runs like less than 20 lands and the only other permanents that you can warp into are Howling Mine and Font of Mythos. Chances are you'll win if you warp, which you'll have plenty of time to do.

Again, if it's the Esper or UW version, I have no idea. Counters can be difficult to fight through. I don't know how many counters that list runs without Cryptic Command.

I'd rather be safe. If I get an island and I don't have the quest in, I will definitely Harrow it away...

I highly disagree with this logic. You run 5 off-color cards in the maindeck. Total. 4 birds and 4 trace ought to be able to take care of this.

The problem with singleton or 2-of basics is getting them in the opening hand.. when what you really need is a forest.

You are correct according to the MPR FAQ. And these are the foils.

Also: Do FNMs count as tournaments?

    Bolts = only foil, afaik.

You need to get 20 rewards points, meaning playing in 20 tournaments. Sign up for rewards at your DCI page

I'll gladly trade mine away for any of those cards

No wait, don't you get the regular ones for every 5, and the foil for 20?

As noted previously, liking the Bloodghast and Eldrazi monument synergy.

    Or Monument + Emeria.

Heck, it's going to go well with Siege Gang Commander.

K, my bad. This is one of those Whippoorwill situations. Felidar sure LOOKS like it flies, crouched up on that high rock. I need to RTFC in future.

Still, 4/6 vig lifelink doesn't die to much in Standard post-rotation. I'd not think it healthy to scoff at this thing. If properly backed up it is a win-con all by itself. (For instance, how about combining it with Baneslayer and Walls of Reverence and Elspeth for ridiculous lifegain shenanigans?).

    Wait.

Doesn't die to much? What kind of removal suite are you thinking of...

Path, Blade, hell, even the new hideous end!

I guess it doesn't die to bolt?

And I'll assume trying to act intelligent over a forum only further makes my comment true, goodnight.

And the rest of us will assume you're just leaving because you can't think of a better comeback.

    Anyway, back on topic.

Proxied some ZEN stuff, seems like if we only care about warping once then the non Creature/Land/Artifact/Enchantment options should be considered. Namely Harrow... and I would say Garruk except that he's anti-synergistic with Trace of abundance.

And Safe Passage is a bitch. Warping into Ob Nixilis is the only answer, honestly.

Has anyone but me noticed that Felidar Sovereign vs. Baneslayer Angel, all other things being equal, the Felidar Sovereign's controller wins the game?

Just wanted to point that out there. 4/6 flying LIFELINK VIGILANCE. So either Baneslayer goes on defensive, in which case BS controller gains 5 per turn and you gain 4 per turn. Or Baneslayer goes offensive, in which case BS controller gains 5 per turn and you gain 8 per turn and hit them for 4. One way or the other, you're both heading towards 40, but there's no party in store for Baneslayer's controller when HE gets there...

No flying on Felidar Sovereign. Otherwise he'd be a busted Serra Angel. Wait, no. That's already Baneslayer.

Would the quest be good in Warp World?

Not sure, but maybe if there's a farhaven elf replacement?

    Taking Swamps out ... no.

Casting Traumatize on yourself and then winning the game with a Consume Spirit? Hell yeah!

I love it and want to hear more.. lol.

I will try and build something dumb like this Smile

Maybe? Or would that be too weak.

Neh, that'd be good - but I expect something more vampire flavored.
