Umm its a work in progress so obviously i am not looking for a rating (unless you wanna) but i am looking for help. I hope this is the right forum.
I think white in the new set has soom great cards. Cards like Samurai of the Pale Curtain, Kitsune Blademaster, Devoted Reatiner, Ghostly Prison, Hold the Line, Reciprocate. But blue got the best it got Wandering Kami! (j/k)
You misunderstood me. I said that green shouldn't only have traple but its prodominately (sp?) green. I didn't mean specifically 4cc for a 6/6 but in general green (and black and red){less red that black} should have beefy creatures(umm i define beef as p/t over 3). I never said i want other colors to be worse. I just wish green could get mroe. I under stand abilities are shared but some abilities just arren't what so ever. I am not 100% sure but in the current Standard, Black is the only color to have Destroy target _______ creature(fill-in blank) spells. Again not 100% but in Standard i believe blue is the color to have spells that say Counter target ______ spell.Red has the only Target ______ takes X damage spells (small exceptoin with green hurting flyers). White has the only Prevent X damage spells. Green has the only +X/+X spells.
So (assuming i am correct above{standard only})
Btw this comparison only uses the abilities above.
Black and blue stop creatures at the source. Either its destroyed or it never hits play.
Red can wait to kill the creature at any time (assuming it can do enough damage).
White will let a creature attack and then just pervent the damage.
Green can pump up its creature and hope he doesn't get chump blocked/prevented/destroyed/.
Now do you understand? I was just going on basics. Green players can only truely stand up to the red mage because he does X damage to your creature and then you pump it up in response. No ammount of pump up can get past prevention/destroying/countering. Just some stuff in basics. I know there are a myraid amount of abilties out for every color i just feel that some colors have and easier time than other colors.
Given the comparisson is a little odd but i was just refering to spells typical to that color. If someone wanted to they could say that creature ability wise ? color is better. Its just my feeling on the whole color pie.
What i do like in the new set is that Black spells for destruction no longer have that creature cannot be regenerated,but then again on a quick scan of Kamigawa i only found 2 cards in green(Kashi-Tribe something and Serpent Skin) which can regen and one Black card (an Ogre). Of course Standard includes 8th edition so you could also use the enchantment Regeneration.

The fact is that those are the top 2 colors (at least color pie wise{right?}).
I never got this, mainly cause i am a green-white player. IMO White has gotten a big boost with all the samurai crazyness. Green is doing okay (i wish it had more beefy creatures/better everything). But Black has definatley got some great power in Demons and its arcane spells.
Well i've been rethinking my statement. And its just my green that sucks. i mean there are some sucky cards but there are some good cards. But i do have some good points on the folowing cards Patron of the Moon(mentioned before) and now the Genju cycle(land enchantment is kinda green). Also i dislike some of the cards green got in the last set, Cards like Jilad Lifebreather, Karstoderm,Tel-Jilad Outriders,Viridian Zealot and Rude Awakening. (BTW i am refering to the Moirrodin Block). There are some other ones but i just didn't like it. Green should have Beefy creatures not 3/1 for 3G.

Is it just me or does Wizards of the coast hate green. For some reason greens color pie abilities (or whats assumed to be green) get throw around like nothing, mean while they would never have one green spell say Destroy target non green creature. Lets see, all the Bringers got Trample, not a green only ability, but prodominately green. In the entire Mirrodin block green(or red) should have been king, not Ravager and blue. Now there is that supposed new card in Betrayers card Patron of the Moon which for 1: Put up to 2 lands from your hand into play tapped. And its a 5/4. WTF. O yeah i believe green should have the beef cake creaure wise, with black/white/red in second and blue in dead last(in overral power).
