After some looking around it also seems like a good idea to add a +1/+1 counter sub-theme to the Ghave list. Haven't found any real good cards for this though. Any suggestions?
Recently I build this WG Rhys the Redeemed deck, which is quite strong but also quite 1 dimensional. I am thinking about either making it more versatile or about changing it into a WBG Ghave, Guru of Spores deck. Below you can find my current Rhys decklist and the decklist I threw together (but haven't built yet) for Ghave.
I am looking for any and all suggestions to either make Rhys more versatile or to make the Ghave deck interesting enough to spend some more money on.
I know the Rhys deck is not optimal, it is missing some expensive staples. Ghave is still only a theoretical deck with the goal of making large amounts of tokens and abusing them for all kinds of effects. For this theoretical list I am not looking at budget restrictions, anything goes.
I made the following deck for play in my group of friends, a very casual group. I am very aware that the deck is over 60 cards, but hardly anyone in our group plays 60 card decks.
I played several games with this deck and it is quite capable of locking down a game. Winning however is sometimes a problem. I am looking for a consistent win condition.
So any advice on a good win condition, card cuts and whatever are very welcome. Just keep in mind that it is a casual deck and on a budget.
Can I use the "target creature" on cards like Mistmeadow Witch and Voyager Staff to bring back creatures from my graveyard? I guess so since your graveyard is not a "hidden" zone, but I want to be sure.
After doing some playtesting I am looking for some more advice. I want to make this deck a bit more competitive. Part of this is getting the possibility of LD and surviving LD into the deck by making the changes in the list below.
Next to that I am thinking about adding a suit of efficient counterspells. This is where I would like some advice. Is this a good idea? How many counterspells do I need? Which counterspells should I look for? What to cut?
Got a very nice round last night with this deck. It was in a 3 way multiplayer game with Planechase added to the mix.
Got Lurking Predators, Mighty Emergence and Where Ancients Thread on the table with no defense whatsoever. The current plane let's you search for a land and put it on the battlefield tapped whenever you put a creature onto the battlefield. I pass the turn and before I get my next turn I got 5 fatties of 7/7 or greater, done 25 damage and put 5 more lands on the battlefield. Lurking Predators was a hit on every spell my opponents played.
Question 1
In my sharuum EDH deck I am running the roflthopter combo and eldrazi monument. When I sacrifice Sword of the Meek to make a token via Thopther Foundry wil this token come in to play as a 1/1 getting the sword back. Or will it come into play as a 2/2 due to eldrazi monument, thus not getting my sword back and killing the combo.
Question 2
I have a Stonehewer Giant in play with a Whispersilk Cloack attached. I know use his tap ability to search for another piece of equipment. Can I attach this equipment to the Stonehewer Giant since his ability does not target a creature (the rules on the card do not say "attach is to target creature", just "attach it to a creature you control")?

Not really a blink card, but with cheap creatures that are easy to recast it works quite well. At least, I assume your goal is to abuse CIP abilities.
Edit: penguin beat me to it
That Sergeant is a nice find! Problem with Chronozoa is the chronic case of summoning sickness when you have more than 2 upkeeps.

Thanks for the answer!
Lattice would be for use in combination with Sen Triplets.
What makes Memory Jar so special? I still have problems sometimes with valueing cards and seeing their potential.
For this purpose I have Mistmeadow Witch, Erratic Portal, Crystal Shard and Voyager Staff.

Changes I want to make
Crucible of Worlds
Karn, Silver Golem
Mycosynth Lattice
Tormod's Crypt
Possible cuts: 2 basic lands, Soul Foundry, Scourglass
The crucible is up in the air because I hear a lot of talk about it getting banned.
