"Maybe not the thread for this but I’ve thought young pyromancer was over rated in cube for a long time.
It’s been in and out of my cube for years now and is currently out.
there’s decks where it’s a good card, but those decks are few and far between. You need much more spell/cantrip support than the slick shot needs to make it better than a random peice of interaction.
I think this is much better.
I believe it’s not in the MTGO cube at the moment either."
Young Pyromancer is currently out of my 360 as well. Only triggering off certain types of spells has proven to make it inconsistent. Decks still exist where it can be good/great but it feels too narrow for the current Iteration of my Cube. What do other people think now that Young P is more than a decade old?
For my 4th cycle of lands (after duals/shocks/fetches) would you rather have most of them be:
Triomes
OR
Canopy Lands
There will be a few exceptions to the cycle (Colonnade, Tar Pit) but wondering which cycle people would think is better as the 4th and final cycle of lands in a 360 Vintage Cube.
Boots are the kind of card I wanted when I tested Rabbit Battery. In my Vintage Cube the artifact and equip cost are both critical and this one is about as low as you can go. Shadowspear has been awesome but Equip 2 is so much different than Equip 1.
Can't wait to see this card in green decks. It's going to hit so hard.
Haste is one of my favorite keywords and I love it for keeping slower decks honest.
Card is nearing a decade old (wow) & want to get feedback on how it's performed for others. The more I'm playing my Cube the more frustrated I've become with the 2R activation cost on Pia & Kiran Nalaar.
I'm just not sure this card does enough in small Cube lists to warrant a spot. Or have recent experiences sold the card short?
How is this card in 2024? I'm running a Vintage 360 and looking for any form of acceleration I can get. Is this too narrow? Sacrificing it is a brutal cost but with the lower curves nowadays could it work? Seems like exactly the land for aggro decks.
Thanks!
Edit: Apparently reading is difficult and this is Ancient Tomb. I swear I read this three times and it said "two mana of any color." As it's printed it doesn't sound like an effect that aggro would want

Good callout on the last piece. If cards are close enough in power level then the one with less things to track is typically preferable.
I am really excited to try out this card. I think it's going to be terrific.
That is all

Genuinely curious for feedback on this card.
Thanks!
