I got MANA BURN tattooed across my knuckles about 4 years ago, before they removed it from the rules. I love it; although most people don't get it, its great when people ask what I have on my knuckles and I discover secret Magic players, haha. Plus it makes me seem old school
If I cast a Stormfront Riders and choose to return two Soldier tokens to my hand, does its second ability trigger and give me back two tokens even though the tokens don't actually end up in my hand?
Okay, my friend insists that there is a way to target Trinket Mage and remove it from the game with Swords to Plowshares before it's enter the battlefield abilities resolve and therefore stifling the ability. I say there is no possible way that is legal. What's the consensus?
Searched and couldn't find a relevant answer, so just to clarify: Opponent controls a Mind Harness with 2 age counters. At the beginning of his upkeep, does he add 2 more age counters, or just 1 more?
So does cumulative upkeep stack in steps of:
1,2,3,4,5...etc.
or
1,2,4,8,16...etc.
?
It could be tested, it one-shots Rhox War Monk against those annoying countertop/Bant type decks which I've been seeing more and more of. Also could help against Merfolks that have gotten a couple too many lords.
I think it also depends on the format as well. I only play Legacy competitively, and I'm constantly hearing stories about how less cutthroat and more laid-back/cool the Legacy players are compared to the Standard players. Generally speaking.
Go with Price of Progress and Burning Tree Shaman instead.
Right, well I understand those options, however, a Moon effect seems to pretty much spell GG for them, whereas a PoP (I understand it can be devastating) or Burning Tree Shaman only moderately affect their gameplan... Does nobody use Moon effects in their SB in this matchup?
In a meta with quite a few Lands decks, is Blood Moon or Magus of the Moon a better sideboard option? I understand it shuts down a good portion of our manabase, but it seems like it could be worth it. Magus of the Moon automatically seems to be the better option, because he follows our plan of beating face (especially relevant after turning all of our lands into Mountains), but he's also a creature which is easier to remove. I guess I just want to know if anybody runs either of these in their SB for Lands, or if Lands has any answers to either of them, as they're a pretty big problem deck around here.

Maybe if it's CC was :symb::symb: and it's Level Up only costed :symb:.
Otherwise, absolutely not, way too mana-intensive.
