I agree with altmatt, Llanowar Elves would be a good budget fix while Birds of Paradise would be a better semi-budget/top-end fix. You can actually find Birds these days without breaking the bank that much. Noble Heirarch will cost you a little more but with all the R in the deck, I'd go Birds.
It burns out most every other deck pretty quick. Played Fae, which is one of 4 decks I was worried about, and sided in my Fallouts to clear Bitterblossom tokens. With 2 Goblin Cheiftains or 2 Mad Auntie or 1 of each I can keep all my Goblins safe and roast Fae tokens.
I'd be really worried about this strategy. Any player who's been playing Fae would know a Fallout's probably in the strategy and hold on to any kind of removal. All it takes is a Peppersmoke to one of your two 3/3 Chieftans before or after Fallout resolves which is bad for you since faeries can build back up quicker than T2 goblins.
I think one of the biggest problems with Goblin Assault is that you'd almost never want to play it in a goblin themed deck. Who wants your whole army of suicidal goblins attacking every turn while your opponent just blocks (and kills) your guys then attacks you back on their turn for twice as much damage???
In fact, if goblins ever makes a comeback in the T2 meta, this is a card you'd almost want to sideboard in against it.
I vote for "Baselands" because it makes the most sense.
Also I've always had a problem calling a land that produces two different colors a "dual land." To me a "dual land" is a land that has two basic land types, i.e. - Underground Sea being both an island and a swamp at the same time or Watery Grave being both an island and a swamp. So that means to me there have only been two sets of true dual lands (ABUR and Ravnica block). That's just me though...
The card should be an uncommon. I remember it being a pretty big disappointment when it was spoiled as a rare. But yes, if it was 3G it might see some play.
I'd like to see Burning Inquiry more as a sideboard option against control. This leaves room for some more burn - Puncture Blast would be a good all-around option. With all the hand disruption in the deck, Nyxathid should be pretty effective when it hits.
And Cliffrunner Behemoth is nuts here
