Stone Rain is going to be in for man land purposes, and they don't want there to be these giant slow mana bases with powerful effects. Wrath will be in due to the fact Planar Clensing is not in, and Day of Judgement is a functual reprint, however, it is not Wrath and they say a 4 drop board cleaner is crucial for a control deck to survive in a creature based format. It's very obvious.
You may also want to include Wrath of God, Acidic Slime, Stone Rain, and Mana Leak. I heard about control magic but I'm not going to even go there or post it in baseless speculation, however, if I did the reading right on these cards and what is missing, especially ESSENCE SCATTER, Mana Leak is going to be in. Also expect the 5 planeswalkers, and two new mythics. Go ahead and believe me or not, I don't have the cridentials, however, I do know what I'm talking about.
Why those two btw? It solves the problem of Mythic for the new set, if you think about it. You want your mythics to be accessable, and well, this is definately making them that, and hey new phyrexia, possibly on mirroden, who knows right?
I love the idea of hashing the old memories up with this set. I have a feeling this set will include more than your average duel deck in the rare department. Perhaps all five pain lands, coalition victory, cromat, legacy weapon of course, and perhaps Rith. Phyrexia on the other hand is flooded with playabilities. My best guess would be processor, scuta, negator, definately tower, plague lord.
I have a feeling its a novel tying in with new phyrexia, perhaps not the return of yawgmoth, but the second coming of a being that is related to the likes of yawgmoth through Karn perhaps?
