It does less winning on its own than Skeleton Ship did. That is to say, no winning whatsoever. Unless that phase has passed.
Also, yes. I am. I like having an association with an under-valued style of play.
That's pretty much exactly 99% spot-on.
By the way, Gals... I know it's UG, but I'm thinking Kruphix is pretty much your wheelhouse.
I have been known to have a soft spot for them.
Also, that card is an insta-play for me. Anyone want to ship me a list of what they think are the relevant spells played in the format that make it worth a slot? I'm lazy right now.
Also, I'm not pre-ordering anything (yet). Stupid UR legend is not really UR (again).
Pat yourselves on the back. You've done it again. -_-
Tradition, and the Dunning-Kreuger effect.
Because intelligence doesn't always have full bearing on our ability to make sexual decisions.
Solves that problem.
You're probably going to have to jump through a few hoops to convince people not to gun for you. The problem is, what's the point, when your deck isn't too much of a stone's throw away from being high powered? Imagine yourself spending time and effort talking about the merits of the deck, only to end the game with a chain of extra turns and an Omniscience. Do you think anyone would react differently?
With Jhoira, you really only have two options. 1. De-power the deck on purpose and play the cards straight, so people get the picture that your deck is atypical. 2. Own the archetype, and if anyone comes your way, knock them out of the game to set an example.
- Multiplayer format is perfect for social gatherings with friends.
- Massive card pool creates opportunities for ridiculous/fun card interactions, along with excellent combo potential.
- Singleton format with 100 cards allows for diversity between games.
The format pretty much meets every Magic-related need I have.
Planar Chaos, Psychic Battle, Shared Fate, and Grip of Chaos all break at least one of the rules. They seem "good" on paper, and you might even enjoy what they can do to the game once or twice, but they are trap cards. I would advise against using them. I love Confusion in the Ranks more than anyone I've ever met, but I don't use it, because it's rarely fun for the other players at the table.
Player casts Brainstorm (for example). There is no other Brainstorm in their graveyard. Is any damage dealt by Dwarven Shrine? I'm assuming no, but I wanted to check.
Going from WBG to UBG only changes one color, and is still very heavy control. The deck is going to feel almost exactly the same, and you will likely be disappointed. Follow your gut instinct.
Rith takes care of this. You'll need chump blockers. Plays well with Doubling Season, too.
Blame people that hate things.
Put out tons of chump blockers, defend your planeswalkers. Win the game.
