I'm really surprised no one's noticed the awesome interaction with Masako the Humorless this chica has.

R/W samurai would be great, with that in the curve, in block. That way you can also use the Legendary Wall that's in there, and Kentaro helps get past the double red requirement. Throw in Nagao, and you have a winning team.

This creature is essentially evasion by default.

It also screws over Kabuto Moths.

I love it in limited, maybe in block.

Anyone thought of Eon Hub for a Standard prison deck?

Turn 1 Land, mox, Pale Curtain
    Turn 2 Ghostly Prison
    Turn 3 Wrath or Horoki
Turn 4 Eon Hub, Silent Arbiter, or Horoki

Or something like that. Note: with Eon Hub in play, no lands untap ever.

I recently won a FNM Extended tournament and placed 4th in the GPT the following day with the following build:

    4x Mongrel
    3x Aquamoeba
    4x Arrogant Wurm
    4x Basking Rootwalla
    3x Wonder

    2x Intuition
    3x Deep Analysis
    4x Careful Study
    4x Circular Logic
    2x Roar of the Wurm
    3x Unsummon
    2x Daze

    9 Island
    5 Forest
    2 Treetop Village
    4 Yavimaya Coast

    SB:
    4x Energy Flux
    2x Submerge
    2x Waterfront Bouncer
    3x Chalice of the Void
    3x Seal of Removal
    1x Aquamoeba

Really, I would've much preferred to have chills, but I didn't have access to them. This build seems very solid, and I didn't miss Chrome Mox at all. I lost to Red Deck Wins in the quarterfinals because Chalice of the Void is worthless against pillage-packing builds of RDW. I would've much rather had 3x Naturalize in the side, truth be told, to rid myself of Bridge and Cursed Scrolls.

That's just my take on the deck.

Oh, and the Bouncers and the Aquamoeba seem to be solid in the side, you can bring them in versus rogue decks that take a LITTLE longer to stabilize than most, as extra aggro.

    Just my .02.

Oh, and nice of them to kill the nonexistent Honden deck right outta the gates.

Already said something about Hero's Demise.

    Aura Barbs 2R
    Instant - Arcane
Each enchantment deals 2 damage to its controller, then each enchantment enchanting a permanent becomes a 3/1 Barb token creature with Haste and sacrifice ~ at end of turn.

    W/r/t Hero's Demise:
Great in Block, crap in Standard except sideboard, absolutely great removal in Limited but wish it was an Uncommon.

    Red Enchantment 2R
Whenever an activated ability of an artifact or enchantment is played, its controller takes 1 damage.

    Red Instant 1R
Destroy target artifact or enchantment, take damage equal to CMC.

    Green Instant G
Destroy target artifact or enchantment, take damage equal to CMC.

    Green Enchantment 2G
Whenever you play a creature spell, destroy target artifact or enchantment.

All of these sort of play off of either Mana Barbs or Aura Shards.

After a lot of discussion Subterranean Spirit has been removed as a site administrator.

I know most people don't care to read the internal site
stuff on the home page, so to those people I apologize.
But After a lot of discussion Subterranean Spirit has been
removed as a site administrator. I'd like everyone to realize that
this guy has done a lot of work over the last while cleaning
up a ton vandalism on the site and he has a long track record
in this type of position. However, his management style
seems incompatible with the older more mature nature of this site.

This also reverses 7 important items that have been going on lately.

#1) All members recently banned (or banned without 6 warnings)

if we have overlooked your account.
#2) In the future you will receive at least 3 warnings then a suspension,
3 warnings then ban. 2 staff members must sign off on the ban.
    This returns the traditional policy.
#3) All warnings will be logged by staff, this we will be able
to tell you WHY person x,y,z was banned if they are.

includes R_E who doesn't mind his info being printed so long
    as he gets credit.)
#5) Posts simply dissenting with a mod or administrator is not enough

As a lurker on 'News for about a year, I was pretty upset to see that one of my favorite people (rancored_elf) had been mistreated so badly.

I was also very happy to see that he'd gone somewhere as friendly as Salvation, and I'm very pleased to be here, lurking along after the Rumor-fu Mastah himself.

You people don't suck. That's good.

    Also, look at wording, misspellings.

    Consistency throughout the card.

Most of the fake scans we've been seeing are missing the black border on the right hand side of the text box and art though the black border on the left hand side is present. This seems to be a common occurance, especially with that one guy with a bunch of fake cards.

Wizards prints some really strange crap sometimes, so just a card being overpowered or what have you isn't really evidence that the card is fake. However, another thing to check for is card number. We've got known cards and card numbers in (I think) every single color, and so you can at least reference it alphabetically against the 'Number Crunching' area in order to determine whether that is a valid card name for that particular card number.

Also, just look at the card. A lot of times, the font, font size, font boldness will be off, or the spacing incorrect. Look at a Champions card and compare.
