playmat stays on dirty surface.
if you roll it image in, the bottom part it's gonna touch the image one. so next time you use it, image surface is gonna be dirty because it touched the dirt part.
is it silly?
Only silly because it doesn't matter which way you roll it, dirty bottom side will always touch the image. But that's why some people wash their mats. I don't use one exclusively, nor used it on any extremely dirty surface (ie sticky pop, dirt, etc), but i have yet to have a problem. Since the mats aren't "sticky," as long as nothing is spilled on them, there shouldn't be much a problem.
This post combined with your sig is ironic, just sayin' lol. Personally, i'd just deal with it. He isn't really breaking any rules, just being obnoxious
The above poster does have good suggestions though!
-Black border > white border.
-Original printing > *
-Indifferent about cardface. I think both the old and new look awesome, but the "Timeshifted" cardface is horrid.
-Foil (judge/promo/prerelease/etc) > foil (regular) > non-foil
-Foreign languages are cool SOMETIMES. I get annoyed when i see a huge group of people with Japanese only cards when they couldn't pronounce a Japanese word to save their life. I personally go with German, because i know a little bit of German.
-Indifferent about signatures. Very cool for a collection. For playing, it's whatever. Same goes for alters.
In my opinion, it is mostly psychological, if not, purely. With a counter, the player is essentially being told what to do, and some people don't like being controlled like that. With removal, the player is allowed to do what they want (play the creature), but then "scolded," for lack of better word.
Hell no, some people concentrate a lot better when they are doing something with their hands. While playing cards I'll shuffle them around. Then again, I used to drum the table or flip around my pen during math tests etc.
Ditto. If i don't shuffle them around, and i try my best to not be obnoxious about it, i'll start tapping on the table or something doubly obnoxious.
I don't like the Mythic rarity because i feel it's purely a gimmick to get people to buy more packs. And even then, i can't be too mad because Wizards IS a business that wants to make money, and they'll do so any way possible, so i understand their position. Plus, as has been said, Magic has been growing and growing over the past year or so. Overall, i'd say i'm indifferent, but i'm leaning towards mythics being negative due to being very powerful*.
Now, to the people complaining about card prices; it's not Wizard's fault (not entirely, anyway). Wizard's couldn't care less about the third-party market. The main reason that some cards skyrocket in price is because of supply and demand. C'mon guys, you're smart enough to know this. Yes, you could argue that Wizards does play a hand in that they are making super-powerful* cards, but you can't directly attribute third-party prices to them.
$0.02/mini-rant
*Hey, anyone heard of power creep? The average card these days is nucking futs. And Mythics are definitely the perfect example.
I've got quite a collection of cards, and i've been slowly sorting them into their respective sets and in order, and putting them in plastic Ultra Pro 9-card pages. So this made me curious, is there long-term damage possible from the pages decaying or anything of the sort? I've heard of signed cards' signatures getting smudged/smeared, but i'm only storing normal cards. No foils, no sig's, just plain ink on cardboard.
I've got a deck that i sleeved ~2001-2002 when i first started playing, and the sleeves are totally fine, so i'd suspect that it's not an issue but i figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
They're from the same seller. With the colored sleeves, they are matte, and there are 5 basic colors (white, red, blue, green, black). Also, make sure you don't buy the mini sleeves because they actually won't fit.
Alright, finally found some time to put into this today! Already got cards lined up to balance out my colors (in terms of number) now i just need more time to work on it

I can get behind almost all of those removals, although, i'm curious why you said Degavolver, Wayward Angel, Seraph, Reya Dawnbringer, and Radiant, Archangel.
Dislike Mangara of Corondor, so he's gone.
