    Awesome idea, this combo is too funny.

    I'd play something along the lines of a grand architect deck. You've got treasure mage to find one part of the combo, as well as other goodies like wurmcoil engine and mindslaver. The blue guy also acts as mana to cast said artifact as well as buffing your other blue creatures.

    Adding inkmoth nexus to your manabase would help out a lot. Gives you a new angle of attack, and even better, you can shape anew the land and turn it into a blightsteel =D

    Maybe some slagstorms in there somewhere? Seems like a nice fit to compliment your other sweepers. For some reason, feels like having a devil's play or two in there would be nice just for that surprise, fireball ya. And then it's got flashback, so not a complete waste to throw it out early

    I really like this guy, I think a token deck used him to some success already. Not sure how competitive it would be, but I really want to start a deck with 4x of this guy and 4x of the instant, sac a creature draw two cards. I forget the name.

    Hm, think devil's play might be a nice addition instead of fireball. Since it seems you're running a more control'ish build you'd be able to ramp up and make use of the flashback on the spell.

    Slagstorm might also be considered since you can wipe the board against aggro players.

    More controlling list would be interesting, blue/black maybe? Seems like standard is up in the air right now, so you've got a lot of room to try different ideas.

    Going to work on some sort of weird proliferate kinda thing I think.

    Had to play against this thing in the pre-release, truly annoying. And even more so when a livewire lash was equipped to it, oh god. The four toughness and cheapness of it's cost and activation (free most the time) is really hard to deal with. I'd maindeck it in some form of deck or another

    Think there's a thread about this called mono blue machine. Been running it for the past month or so, and I've had some great fun with it, though this looks like a much more refined list. Glad to see at least the grand architect is finally getting some respect, guess it just takes a top eight for people to accept ideas foreign to them or something

    Not how sure it would work but culling dais might be an option. If your creature is going to die, might as well sac in response and stick a charge counter on this thing. Few proliferate's later from throne of geth or thrumming bird and you could potentially refill your hand

    Finally picked up some coral helm commanders and I love them so much in this deck. Played a few practice runs against the warcraft goblins deck and did really well. I'm not really feeling the steel hellkite though. Whenever I have a treasure mage, I'm always going after either a wurmcoil engine, or my one of mindslaver, but the deck is a lot of fun

    Place I use to play FNM at was really competitive. You'd see a lot of strong archetypes being played, as well as peoples homebrews. It's hard to know what to expect when you step into a Friday night magic. Best bet is play what you think is fun, and if you win with it, even better.

    That's a pretty nice budget, could easy put together ramp. I might be weird, but would buy stuff that would keep strong post rotation. Inkmoth nexus makes some sort of blue/black poison deck look viable, and the new tezz planeswalker looks like a lot of fun to build around
