A freind of mine used Painful Quandary last week. While he drew it only once out of 4 rounds, it gave us all a good laugh and made his opponent's jaw drop when he finally landed it. He won that game.
So what should have happened is the messenger gets sacked and comes back into play before Skinrender resolves thus giving Skinrender a target besides itself yes?
Yeah. Messenger's Undying ability would resolve first before Skinrender hits play making the returned Messenger a valid target.
Any card with "enters the battlefield" effects will always trigger even if you use a removal spell. So yes, Trinket Mage's ability goes to the stack as soon as it hits play and will resolve whether it stays or not. On the second one, you can hit the first Drogskol only while the second one's still on the stack; if the other manages to enter play, then it's too late for that.
Lifespark Spellbomb + Eradicate
Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Curiosity
Doubt it, else they'd have printed Electrolyze and Putrefy back in RtR.
I'd like a card that'd punish having a ton of duals though, like Price of Progress or some Anathemancer vairant.
The 1R 2/1 guy with Unleash, Gore-House Chainwalker.
