Could it be that the speculators finally got sick of chasing Goyf 3.0 (or Jace 2.0) that they stop putting so much on speculations?
The early spoiler (& lack of hype) probably didn't help matters either. Also, the concentration of value in the mythics also mean that the cards have more value to shred.
Nice! I traded off my SFM set for a tundra (gotta give value, you know). Lol.
I think these are really well-made. Anyone buying them for T2 play can enjoy some FNMs, but will have to fork out money to replace the rotating cards to keep up. Good for the player and good for the company.
I brought the Kira issue up in Feb (here!), so it has been pushing up for a long time. Still have no idea what is going on... Merfolk is using it as 2-of at best. So I am thinking it is EDH that is doing it.
Nice list! Due to some similarities, I would like to put in a bit of my own theorising (no time to play :-/) for a while now but have not been wanting to post due to getting shut down ages back (but then, that was years when I first started playing Legacy :embarrass:)...
This is the list I have come up with:
4 Exploration
3 Manabond
4 Mox Diamond
4 LftL
3 Enlightened Tutor
1 Entomb (been switching with Intuition, very unsure slot)
1 Stirring Wildwood (bolt-proof, good mana, reach)
1 Nantuko Monastery
1 Island (flexi-slot)
2 Tropical Island
2 Savannah
1 Bayou (flexi-slot)
1 Forest
5 Fetchlands
2 Tolaria West (cc too high)
1 Tranquil Thicket
SB (flexible):
1 COP: Red (burn and prog)
1 Cursed Totem (elves and maybe, zoo)
1 Tormod's Crypt
1 Null Rod (combo)
4 Leyline of Sanctity (combo)
1 Sterling Grove (win if leyline is in play)
1 Ghostly Prison
1 Rule of Law
3 Oracle of Mul Daya (exploration-&-bob-in-one)
1 Crucible of Worlds
Feel free to criticise (hopefully, constructively). These are only theoretical stuff. While they do not hold as much water as Pat, but I think they may merit a bit of thought.
1 Tranquil Thicket I rarely find myself doing crazy Loam-Thicket shenanigans with a manabond in play. Usually, 1 Dredge off the draw is already a blow-out and any thicket after the first is not too relevant. 2 Tolaria West these were essential in the Intuition list due to its role in fetching the Zuran or the EE. Now with ET, I am not quite sure of having too many of these and the silver bullet artifacts play a good role replacing the West-landfetching. Nantuko Monastery is a great call due to the fact that lands never go on the offence quickly anyway; Smokestack is a potential flexi-slot, open for Ghostly Prison or Rule of Law or Pithing Needle depending on the meta. It also deals with those ugly cards called 'basic lands' that are really irritating for this deck. Ensnaring Bridge is sheer power, but I don't feel confident with how reliable it is given how difficult it is to empty your hand without manabond in play. (Aside: the new prison card could have been great as an extra artifact lock piece, but it is really bad) Oracle of Mul Daya is a good substitute for Confidant as it allows for extra land-drops (Bob can easily clump up the hand without the crucial exploration in play); Leyline of Sanctity serves as a good storm-hate piece and an anti-hate piece (stopping everything except the Relic-blow). And with ET, getting the singleton Sterling Grove just straight away spells GG for combo.
I do not see lands putting up pressure vs storm, ever. So having 1 Leyline out with 6 blowout cards (3 ET, 1 Sterling, 3 more Leylines, though extra leylines are soft-locks given a chance of echoing truth) along with Zuran Orb and Waste-Porting might allow lands to pull through.
Other potential direction this deck can take (I can't make any of them work): Inkmoth Nexus-Grove of Burnwillows-Punishing Fire (Entomb/Intuition-base) package: kills creature heavy metas along with Jace. Infect to negate the Grove combo and Pendelhaven (on-colour) to put up pressure. Flame Jab-Raven's Crime-Urborg, Tomb (Entomb/Intuition-base) package: slight combo breaker with a touch of creature control; Thopter-Swords-Urborg/Riftstone (ET-pack) good potential with life-gain and putting up quick pressure, but conflicts heavily with our favourite Ace card.
A package from CoolStuffInc was lost en route to Australia. I have contacted the postal service here and CSI, but I don't think anything is going to come up.
Already re-ordered some of those cards, hopefully this one will arrive =(...
There isn't exactly a legacy 'season' as cards never rotate and tournaments are held throughout the year. While we have seen a price rise at the start of this year and the last, I do not see that as a 'seasonal' effect.
The price did dip a little after the price spike last year, but I believe that was negligible.
Anyone know why the price of Kira is through the roof? I don't see it used anywhere in any format! It used to be about $4 at the beginning of 2010, now it has a bit more than doubled.
Wow. I am surprised no one called fake on my post. Anyway, the poster the OP described has Glissa covering the Battle Cry card (white), so that was quite a disappointment.
The main bit of the poster is the mad UB Tezz we saw ages back. Now there is a card I want to see!
EDIT: Has no one else seen the poster? Or, is it because Aus time is faster (or whatever you call it), so we got a look first? Damn, I regret not taking a picture.. lol, would've been nice to be the first to get a rumour in for once.
Any Aussies dealt with SCG before? I pre-ordered some THS cards and they have yet to arrive. It is taking quite a while.
How long do orders usually take to get from SCG to Sydney?
Cheers.
4 thoughtseize at 60AUD each?

Anyone care to guess what the next big hitter is?

GGB 3/3
First Strike, Deathtouch
If an opponent's dude dies, return an artifact from your yard to your hand.
Was on the poster (top of stairs at Good Games Sydney), but too lazy to take a picture.
EDIT: I only have ONE post?! Dammit... What credibility do I have?! Ah well, you will see. lol.
