So after a really, really long hiatus, and trying to find a new site to host images as the old one went down without warning, I'm back! I have to start over from scratch, unfortunately, but if there's anything anyone wants to see in particular, let me know. If I have it, I'll post it.
You have a lot of potential. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to study anatomy for artists. The musculature and hand shapes of the characters suffer from a lack of knowledge about how they're supposed to look. Also, do a ton of life drawing, particularly of the human figure. And use reference photos whenever you are planning to create a finished piece. They aren't absolutely necessary, but at your level they'll help significantly.
Unfortunately I'm not experienced with pixel art, so take my feedback lightly. I like the look of the pieces, but it feels like they're missing something. Almost like the stylization isn't tight enough. My favorites are the lower left and lower center. The color and style is really solid for those two.
Solid work. I made a thread for budding artists on this site. I invite you to post there for deep critique for the purpose of growth, and to in turn critique the work ofthe artists there.
Another test, this time a Planeshifted version of the M15 template. GP Primeval Titan.
Very nice. I like the textbox texture designed (are they different for each color?) the most.
Would you share such amazing template with us please?:)
Yes, they are different for each color. I didn't invent these templates from scratch. Wizards made the original template for color shifted cards in the set Planar Chaos. Look up Groundbreaker, Brute Force, Rathi Trapper, Merfolk Thaumaturgist, and Revered Dead for examples of the originals. Also, the template isn't quite ready to be shared. When it is, I'll certainly share it.
Really nice but you forgot the foil circle thing down the bottom
No I didn't. I don't like the look of it, and it was inducted to discourage fraud. Leaving it off makes it more obvious that it's not an official card.
We're talking EDH. That was one of a wide variety of options to deal with her. The original Avacyn protected herself. This one does not. That's not to say that creatures that don't protect themselves are bad, but that she's worse than the previous incarnation, and that there are less mana intensive ways to do what she does.
Not necessarily. With the variety of infinite combos available, damage isn't even always the main road to victory, but mass token decks and infinite damage combos won't even bat an eye at her. Kiki-Jiki and the sprite combo with Goblin Bombardment would take care of Avacyn first, since she can't prevent damage to herself, and can wait until the next player's upkeep if necessary to finish off the Avacyn player. She's straight up bad.
I completely disagree with your take on Avacyn. She can't protect herself with her first ability, and in a multiplayer game, sitting on 7 mana only helps during one opponent's turn. You're a sitting duck after that. New Avacyn is just awful in every format.
