in short, what happens when a creature attacks an opposing planeswalker (for example, Elspeth, Knight-Errant), and that planeswalker's controller casts Teferi's Protection to (among other things) phase out that planeswalker?

Considering trying this out in my Prossh, Skyraider of Kher EDH, since I can sacrifice kobolds to Prossh, then sacrifice Prossh to Gisa to make tons of Zombies, then recast Prossh and repeat.

You can also sack out the tokens to her, generating an extra 2/2 with each activation. Since unlike most creatures with this sort of ability it doesn't say "Non-token creature". She can create an endless stream of tokens. Which is neat.

um, no? the kobolds are 0/1, which means that Gisa gives you no tokens
assuming you meant the kobold tokens. if you didn't, then disregard this comment Slant

This feels so wrong to me. I'm going to contact WOTC and try to bring about a discussion, because damage that is less than the toughness of a protection or indestructible creature should not trample over....regardless of deathtouch.
I understand the problem of complexity, and how the wording is fairly new (post m11) but not only does it fail flavor-wise, it makes the interaction of deathtouch and trample pretty much mean the creature is unblockable with -1 attack. Pretty lame.
Hopefully WOTC will answer my inquiry on twitter.

so you'd rather have two abilities (protection or indestructible) completely nerf trample instead? they're already powerful enough, without the added bonus of completely screwing over green's most prolific keyword...

I'm confused. Also, does each player get to choose the blaze counters? "each upkeep" is too ambigious. Needs to be "each players upkeep" or "your upkeep".
Either way I like the idea of the card, and again, it fits the scenery very well.

Whoever controls the enchantment does the choosing, as it doesn't specify otherwise (as is the case with Magus of the Abyss).
And as for the wording, these cards would like a word with you.

Pack Rats' first ability is what's known as a characteristic-defining ability. A characteristic-defining ability functions everywhere. So the power and toughness of a Pack Rats on the battlefield would be the same power and toughness as a card named Pack Rats in your graveyard. Thus, when you scavenge, you determine the power of the card as though it were on the battlefield, and you put that many +1/+1 counters on the creature you targeted.

this is slightly confusing, as when you scavenge Pack Rats, it won't be on the battlefield, thus it won't count itself for its CDA. the way you've worded it here, makes it sound like it will...

The autumn monolith doesn't really work.

Players that have cast three or more spells this turn, cannot cast spells.

So once i cast my third spell, i can't cast anymore.

4 mana , Discard ~: End the turn. Activate this ability only if a player has cast four or more spells this turn.

Well i'm never going to be using that effect, seeing as once a player casts three spells, they can't cast anymore.

it works fine, as the second ability requires you to discard it /from your hand/, when it's not on the battlefield...
in other words, the two abilities will never interfere with each other

    Compare to Dryad Arbor:
+ Only vulnerable the turn after you suspend it, doesn't use a land drop
    - Cannot be fetched with fetchlands

Having these in any color than green breaks the color pie though.

how is Dryad Arbor unfetchable? it's a forest too, ya'know...

Loxodon Smiter seems good. Get to play it for 'free' plus it trades with Sire. Just saw that you're playing R/B.

If it's casual (non-standard), Guerilla Tactics is adorable, pretty crap card, but it'd be hilarious.

Edit: No, but seriously, why not just run some removal? Kill it before you have to discard anything.. Murder springs immediately to mind

maybe I'm wrong, but I think the Sire of Insanity is in his deck, not his opponent's...

  • posted a message on Conspire question
if Slice in Twain received conspire twice, then yes, you could conspire it twice, destroying three artifacts/enchantments and drawing three cards. however, conspire is a triggered ability that can only ever be used once per iteration of the ability, so you couldn't conspire twice just from the one instance of it from Wort, the Raidmother.

Ok, now what happens? Does the curiosity remains enchanting and providing him 1 card in each of my upkeeps?

actually no, Fall of the Hammer will still resolve, it just won't do any damage...

as it says in the Oracle rulings on the card itself:
    Quote from Oracle »
2014-01-01: As Fall of the Hammer tries to resolve, if only one of the targets is legal, Fall of the Hammer will still resolve but will have no effect: If the first target creature is illegal, it can’t deal damage to anything. If the second target creature is illegal, it can’t be dealt damage.

the wording on Horn of Giant Summoning should be the same as the Fife: Exile those tokens when Horn of Giant Summoning is not being played.

other than that, I love this idea Grin
