I'm finding less and less time to actually play Magic, but I still enjoy watching it. To that end, I was hoping people around ol' Sally could point me toward some more sources for draft videos.
I already visit Channelfireball for theirs and I used to watch GGSLive's old Youtube archives, but they seem to have moved to some other system.
So, anyone have any good sources for videos? Both constructed and draft are fine.
Reading this a stupid question popped into my head. What happens to the money when the pampered mutt finnally snuffs it.
I mean it isn't like it is able to file a last will and testament and dictate its own wishes in the matter is it?
Without having actually read the trust instrument, the default rule is that the additional corpus will return to the woman's heirs and assignees.
People with $30 million tend to make very complicated trusts, however, so, there's no way of actually knowing without reading the gigantic pile of papers that undoubtedly created this transfer.
Tezzeret is the only noticable walker that sees play in Vintage. Ajani Vengeant sees some play in Geddon STAX in legacy. Elspeth sees some play in the legacy landstill decks. Garruk could potentially see play with stasis decks seeing how his +1 ability is synergetic with stasis..
Jace and Ajani V have both started to see experimental play in Legacy.
Definitely get the fetches. They will hold and increase in value for as long as Wizard doesn't print a card that is strictly better.
Ravenous Trap is actually getting a lot of play in some format, i forget but i know its getting play
It's still an awful card in limited.
white - quest for the holy relic.
blue - archmage ascension.
black - Ravenous Trap. Mindless Null is still a creature, and Desecrated Earth is technically card advantage.
red- pyromancer's ascension
green - beast hunt. Tanglesap at least has the potential to be a blowout in baloths.dec
artifact - hedron scrabbler. The only reason I didn't put the boots here is because the people at my store value all of the nonbasics highly, so the boots have been amazing for me. YMMV.
Man, I'm sorry. That wasn't directed at you. I'm so used to being able to quote multiple people with the click of a button on the Source that I forgot it's not how it works here. You didn't post the list, you have no responsibility to test it, especially since we agree on its weaknesses.
The original post was most definitely an idea proposal. I dropped the CB back to the sideboard and tried a couple different builds with and without Cunning Wish.
Ajani was consistently amazing, but every once in a while he felt like I was forced to use him as a 4CC Lightning Helix.
Firespout was rarely as good as a good old fashioned ***.
I haven't been lurking this thread as religiously as I should, so pardon me if this list has been posted recently. All credit for everything interesting goes to Genericcactus, Klaus, and Citrus over at thesource (hi mossivo, nice to see you over here as well :3).
Here's the UWr list I've been thinking about trying out. Thanks in advance for comments.
As a side note to the post above, I found it worth it to subscribe to SSG for their legacy and vintage articles (their extended articles look awesome too, but that's the one format I'm not playing at the moment).
It would be nice to see maybe the top 3 voted storybooks make it into the cereal boxes. That way, Cheerios fans would have 3x as many reasons to buy a box, so they could complete the "set".
Clearly, Cheerios needs to interview magic players to realize how powerful collecting is as an addiction :3.
Voted for Jump!. In all honesty, though, I was very tempted to vote for the T-Rex book. I mean, come on, it has a frickin dinosaur.
I am not running Baneslayer in it because of card advantage. If it get pathed/bladed its a 1/1. She will because i have no other creatures besides lost truths. If that gets pathed, i got 4-1 card advantage
The only things that you will spend money on are mana, path, Jace, DoJ and Elspeth but it can be a force with out those because nobody expects it.
By the time you can cast Sphinx of Lost Truths and get that much CA, you can cast baneslayer and leave mana open for negate.
I'm not saying I don't prefer the three Sphinxes in esper (sadly, I do, and my Baneslayers are rotting) but the whole "dies to removal" thing is getting a tad repetitive.

Agreeing with this poster, except, Carnage Altar is worse than Hedron Scrabbler.
There's also always Frank and Son's in the City of Industry. Most of the dealers there are awful, but a few of them have some amazing, amazing deals.

http://channelfireball.com has some pretty good articles as well.

Just sayin that Progenitus has a FEW more things going for it than just being a 10/10; and, yes, by that same token so does Baneslayer Angel.
It is, however, hilarious.
It can run Mind Spring and it does makeup, somewhat, for CA with much, much better Mana Accel.
But, ya, ultimately that's why Jund is so absurd, right? Nothing can match its ridiculous CA.
I'm not saying I don't prefer the three Sphinxes in esper (sadly, I do, and my Baneslayers are rotting) but the whole "dies to removal" thing is getting a tad repetitive.
Does Elspeth see play at all in WUb control?
You could also run one of the new Spanish Inquisition lists and just force Goblin Assault.
