A fairly good primer on how to determine/build a manabase. Not updated for new Duals, but still a good guide for people who just slap multilands together.

Keywords have existed from the beginning of Magic: the Gathering. Even then, the original 10 (haste, flying, fear, protection, landwalk, banding, first strike, regeneration, trample and vigilance) had some problems: I recall the original MtG player’s guidebook requiring something like 10 pages explaining how banding worked, and it seems like people still don’t understand how trample really works (Yes, I realize haste, fear, and vigilance didn't have keywords back then. I didn't mention it because it's an unimportant point and makes me waste time explaining it, thus disrupting the flow of the article. Like now. I hate you guys.)

Nothing like a decent ass-kicking to get your Magic motor running. And there's nothing like a Pure Beatdown deck to get a decent ass-kicking! These decks differ from "regular" aggro (regular aggro laughs at Pure Beatdown because it's different...) in their dedication to speed and size, and... well... I suppose most regular aggro likes those things too. Really, it's just a semantic difference but it's a semantic difference that makes you feel like driving a racecar or something. The Pure Beatdown deck we'll be discussing today is Zoo.
