Seriously, what powers does Sylar have to be able to even take out his helmet? Magneto has a powerful shield. While Sylar is busy figuring out or trying to take out his helmet, Magneto will launch ALOT of metal objects, create magnetic pulses or just crush him with the shield itself.

Its an early-not situational-counter to stop the early threats, its great against cascade, its flexible, and as today's meta is aggro most decks would like to kill you asap and would tap out most of the times. It makes the aggro player work around this card and slow down the meta abit and it helps control ALOT.
The ability to counter any sort of spell turn 2 instead of just creature or just noncreature makes this while not actually good, exactly what control needs.

To be able to counter in the early game and not be situational like Negate or Essence Scatter is what makes this card good. Having multikick and being flexible makes it better.

I think something is missing from the Green card. Kicker is supposed to give you an alternate ability/spell like with the Blue card. The Blue card counters unless you pay 1 but with the Kicked cost you need to pay 2.
If you dont like that example, how about Poison Ivy? Clayface? Killer Croc? Killer Moth? Man-Bat? Solomon Grundy?
