I do not think anything is broken in this set but I believe that the set as a whole could open up new archetypes and improve previous ones for standard. I am curious to see what happens.
As for limited, I want to believe it will be an amazing limited format but the problem is that I am sure almost everyone is going to be fighting over white at the draft tables which could cause problems for some people and black is all around terrible. They have a few gems but I only see a select few black cards making a splash in standard and limited is going to be very difficult if you are in black.
That is just my initial thoughts on the set right now.
I am a Jersey native so I had to check the show out. I still watch it from time to time because Pauley D is hilarious. Every time this guy speaks I cannot help but laugh.
I am a huge horror fan myself and my suggestion, although it isn't scary but mentally scarring, is A Serbian Film.
Probably one of the most messed up films I have ever seen.
I am just waiting on Dark Irregulars which are in that set as well. I believe we are getting that set in May or June. Set 6 in Japan is being released as set 3 here at the same time.
Pale Moon looks like a fun clan as well.
I used to play until it got discontinued. It was a really fun game and if you and a group of friends want to play you can find booster boxes online for like 20-30$
Haha the game is a ton of fun. I have just started playing and I am having a blast with my football team. Good old Spike Brothers. The game is really simple and easy to pick up. The LGS I go to has started getting a lot of support for it.
As much as I would LOVE a Damnation or Mutilate reprint, I do not think it will happen. Damnation has the whole "cannot be regenerated" clause which they wants to stay away from. I believe a Mutilate reprint would be really awesome and could be VERY playable but I have been waiting for that to come back for years and it sadly just isn't going to happen.
Just because the wolves are "good" now does not mean they will move into white. I am sure they will still be only in Red and Green. They may be helping the humans but that is still no reason for them to delve into White.
Pack 1? I believe I would have to take Helvault. It doesn't restrict you to any colors right away and I am pretty sure Helvault is a pseudo-Karn in limited.
Blue is ridiculous in that pack so you don't wanna place yourself in blue because the other playable blue in that pack WILL NOT table to you and I wouldn't pick the Stromkirk Captain either because it restricts you to R/B Vamps.
If the player to the right of me picked the helvault and passed the pack to me then it will be a different story and I will probably then pick up the Vampire or feed the pack.
