I think Reliquary Tower will make it, and I think Maze also makes the cut. While I'm at it, I have a feeling Urborg will be in the set. I don't think Karakas will be in it. It's value is too high.
Anyway, I have a feeling this will be a great set.
The mythic rarity had always existed well and before it was given a name. Look at certain cards in previous sets like 'Goyf, Confidant, etc. Notice how certain rares were opened alot more than others? Yeah. You'll notice that the same thing happens in all the rarities it's just that they decided to put a name on this one.
Umm no.... Confidant and Goyf both appeared on the rare sheet just as much as any other rare.
Tribal is complicated because it looks like it is a supertype, but is actual a type. That is just weird, but rules-wise that is how it has to works. And, when we get down to it, that kind of is complicated.
they want to have their cake and eat it too. Come on wizards, either don't do this at all, or do it, and retcon the erratas for all "mandatory" cards that would be affected to now read "may" in their oracle text- even the ones just printed in the last set, and ones coming in DKA.
I agree with you 100%. That seems like the best way to really make this work out. Otherwise, this thing is pretty confusing.
Yes, it is a legal pay because the suspend is an alternative cost, but the Dream Halls acts as a replacement cost. However, Exasm above probably explains it better than I do.
this is a wotc problem in general. its ridiculous because pr can make or break your entire product/company, yet for years we've had to deal with the most god awful pr in... well just about anything.
Who pulled the Coldsnap PR stunt. The whole Coldsnap being a lost set was the worst PR stunt I had seen the company do. They meant it to be a joke, but the announcement was written so seriously.
Flusterstorm should stay at above $100 because there is no other foil in existence and is a 4-of. I think the general dude will also be at above $100 because that is how much his nonfoil version is worth. In other words, these are the two most valuable judge promos to have ever likely been made. I wouldn't be surprised if both kept a $150+ price tag.
I know this is more of a rules question but I would like you to clarify just exactly how you can sacrifice Tarfire to Goblin Grenade? Is there some kind of trick with the stack that I'm not seeing?
Not until there is a way to turn an Instant into a creature. However, I wouldn't put it pass MaRo to design some such card.
They can make these and yet cut players rewards. I don't know. I would rather see them use their promotional money on something a little more usable like... I don't know... Promo Cards!
Just noticed something, but...how does that enchantment cost half of what Leyline of the Meek does? I mean rarity I get with the opening hand bit, but cost...?
You should also wonder why it is an uncommon. Anyway, you trade the free effect for vigilance, so, yeah. It's good.
They stated they don't want to do mythic lands or mythic cards like Thoughtseize because they are staples. Ugin is an exception in that is already Legendary and few decks rely on it unlike other lands.

Um, yah, that probably sounded awfully lame.

Rules-wise Tribal is kind of a nightmare.
False, second ability, you must reveal creature before putting into hand.

That would be amazing if that worked.
