Now if the arent running Chandra or another sweeper, id be tempted to keep Scrounger in the SB and bring Salvation back to deal with Refiners/Trackers/Virtuoso
Is that what Fennell and Team Lingering Souls did? Cutting a land seems sketchy to me.
I'm also trying to figure out how to board, especially against Marvel. Usually figuring out what you want to bring in is easy, but what to take out is hard. With Fennel's list, it seems like you want literally everything against Marvel. Gideons, Scrapheaps, Transgresses, Unmaking, and Declarations.
Push is the easiest cut, since it doesn't hit much relevant stuff. Liliana's Mastery also makes sense to cut, as it's both slow and plays into sweepers, while Gideon fills a similar role. With the Scrapheaps coming in, it makes sense to cut a couple of 2 drops, but I'm not sure whether Binding Mummy or Wayward Servant is better in the Marvel matchup. Zvi Mowshowitz suggests possibly cutting a couple Diregrafs in the mono-black version. It does encourage you to play into sweepers, but it also lets you recover from one quickly.
So, after boarding out Fatal Push and Liliana's Mastery, what are the next cards to cut? Or do you not board in some cards?
It depends on how good your board is compared to your opponents and the quality of your deck. I once had a pretty terrible deck where it was my third most efficient creature. Unless I needed removal, then I was happy to play it as a 3/1 flyer. Other times, if you know your opponent could play many flying blockers or has a lot of removal for an X/1, or if you have no cards in hand, it's right to sacrifice it. There is definitely no play that's always right, even if you have a great/terrible deck.
I like how you can either play this pre-combat and make a devastating attack out of nowhere or play it post combat and make everyone open up for your doublestriking board.
What this card functionally says is "Tap: Add one mana of any colour to your mana pool. You may only activate this in a game of Commander". I think when it's phrased like that, the poor design becomes more apparent. This card reminds me of Apocalypse Chime.
I'm also against the design of this card based on power level. This is literally the best mana-fixing possible, short of the same land with a basic subtype. WotC cannot print a better mana fixing land than this. I'm pretty sure this card was designed in order to sell the precons to people who already have EDH decks. If you have 2+ colours in EDH, you should run this card.
Love everything about this card. Risk/reward is incredible, and Hideaki Takamura delivers on the art.
Edit: Why does the GM article recommend Crucible of Worlds? How does being able to play lands from the graveyard help when Gorger's ability exiles lands?
Crucible is always a good idea, but it's an ever better idea with this guy so that you don't flat out lose to mass land destruction.
I don't think it's quite as good as people are giving it credit for. You get Fauna Shaman out a turn earlier, but you have to spend an activation getting rid of it. The free tutor effect is good, but you could just run more of the cards you want to tutor for.
I went 3-2-1 in Sealed and 3-1 in a triple NPH draft.
The draft was pretty good for me: I got the white Praetor, the black Praetor, triple Glissa's Scorn and quadruple Blinding Souleater.
The Sealed was pretty crappy though. I had terrible creatures, although I did have some decent spells. Getting an Impaler Shrike with an Act of Aggression made my day though.

An 8/8 Trampler on turn 5 that you have to use two cards to get is at best decent for EDH.
Stanglehold is a great card that will see a lot of play, but not because of the Heavyweights.

Drana is also about $200. I spent about $150 of that.
I don't think thrumming stone is bad, so much as the ripple mechanic.
I surprised an attacking 2/2 witha Beast Within targeting my own land. That would have made sense if I didn't have a Mycosynth Wellspring out.
