@bauerboss As someone who has over 1000 cards for various decks sleeved with kmc perfect fits inside dragon shields, I can verfy that the fit is much more snug than ultra pro's.

I end up not being able to use 15 or so kmc perfect fits out of every pack of 100 due to them being just slightly too big to fit in the dragon shields.

Thinking that gold bordered cards will ever be made tourney legal is a pipe dream.

If you want to play in a tournament, shell out the money for the real cards just like tens of thousands or more have done before you.

My local store has a legacy event on next Saturday.

It's not going to be a bunch of casuals, I can assure you of that.

In my area commander is more of the casual format.

The best thing about a large deck is that it is always unpredictable to your opponent.

While you may find that to be true, the reality is your deck is going to be unpredictable to you.

The reason nearly every deck that's ever won a major tournament is exactly 60 cards, is because it gives you the most consistant deck.

The old school rule books that used to come with the random sealed decks they sold showed the land layered just as the OP describes.

So to answer the question, Wizards is the one who came up with that idea. (Presumably to make the game area more compact.)

Looks like a misprint. Those spots are caused from the printing process. We call that a "hickey"

Some dust or paper was stuck to the printing plate or blanket preventing the image from being offset correctly in that area.

If you volunteer, you don't expect compensation, and if your experience while volunteering isn't enjoyable, you simply don't have to volunteer again.

Don't give me this crap about not being able to volunteer for a for-profit company BS. Every single judge knows full well they WERE volunteering.

Besides, most tournaments are run locally by TO's, not WoTC.

I hope the lawsuit goes down in flames.

Eye ban not huge for tron?

That's utterly false, and anyone who plays the deck competitively can attest to it.

There is no current RG tron list without eye of ugin, and that's not by coincidence.

    Losing it would be HUGE.

It's worth mentioning that he said their goal would be to make sure the eldrazi deck survives as a deck in modern.

He doesn't want to give it the pod treatment.

All the whining I see about modern prices is online.

Seems like as soon as a deck is hot everyone has it in my area. Either you can afford to play or you can't.

There are budget decks for budget players.

Same goes for legacy. If you want to play cheaply, budget decks exist.

@User: Allied fetches are out since windswept Heath and wooded foothills would come after wasteland and only 1 slot remains.

Enemy fetches are not ruled out yet however.

Not sure what your local stores are like, but all 3 of the local shops I visit had MM at retail, and held booster drafts at retail.

I fully expect to get my boxes at retail price.

@cfusion Your missing the point. You can get cards and prize packs through drafting. No jank deck required.

One of my local shops holds on demand drafts several days a week. In 1 weeks time I could play 10-12 drafts, and if I win I'm getting prize packs also.

Drafts here are $15. 10-12 drafts would be $150-180. Might as well buy singles at that point, especially if you're drafting BFZ.

The key is you have to be able to win. $15 is nothing if your getting double that of more in prize packs. Now if you lose every draft then yes, you might as well have just bought singles.
